Didn`t happen with daggers in the BG games. Mostly just with hammers or 2handed swords. And not every third kill ended with an exploding body.
Happened with any weapon. All it took was reaching -10 HP or lower and the bodies gibbed.

Well, now that you mention it, Allan. Can I use guns that I unlock in Battlefield 3 in DA3?
