First of all, keeping it would probably deter a decent amount of new customers, as a three and a subtitle would imply there's a sizable amount of story they have missed out on, at which point many are likely to just not bother with the game and the series as a whole anyway. The title of just "Dragon Age: Inquisition" would imply a more standalone game, though, something more people would be willing to make the jump into if they haven't heard much about the series before.
From the perspective of already existing and maybe even disgruntled fans of the series, however, a numberless title would represent not only a return of the series to what made Origins so great, but would also seem like enough of an acknowledgement on Bioware's part that Dragon Age 2 wasn't the exact direction the series should've been taken in at the time after all (a small concession, if you will). Such a title would instantly imply that the product is more in line with the likes of Origins and Awakening, rather than DA2, and might even get a decent amount amount of fans to give the series another chance after previously having given up on after DA2.
Secondly, for the returning fans it would also be great to have the option to completely skip Dragon Age 2 when it comes to save-importing; for starters, many have uninstalled and/or sold their copies of the game, and most have deleted their save files with it as well. Furthermore, DA2's story was relatively unchanging anyway (the player's decisions/intentions didn't change a whole lot), and Mr. Gaider's Asunder novel now seems like more of a prequel to Inquisition than DA2 could ever be.
Last but certainly not least, a matter of potential: the last two or so hours of Origins had the player making a relatively large amount of significant decisions (who rules Ferelden, the fate of Loghain, whether Morrigan acquires a child or not, the boon the Warden chooses in the epilogue), basically everything related to the Landsmeet quest and more often than not the conclusion of the questline finished right before it as well (Orzammar in most people's cases). Now, assuming Inquisition acknowledges these decisions to some degree, it would be a shame to force the player to play through the entirety of DAII (several times even) to see all the possible consequences of these decisions, whereas the option to go straight from Origins to Inquisition would increase the replayability of both games.
I most certainly would replay the endgame of Origins several times over if it meant these decisions all affected Inquisition in their own way, such as meeting King Alistair and/or Queen Anora (possibly with a Cousland monarch as well), as well Warden Alistair or Warden Loghain.
Also, it would be nice to - in the scenario of DA2 being able to be skipped - not have Anders mentioned as being involved in certain events in Kirkwall. This mostly to allow the people who appreciated him in Awakening but did not recognise his new self in DA2 to headcanon him as simply having lived up to the epilogue he got in the former.
