Hopefully more than one voice for male and one voice for female. Ideally I would love the choice of at least three different voices. I'm not really expecting it though, it would just be nice.

I couldn't stomach female Hawke's voice, it just didn't sound right to me.

Wow you are considerate "I don't like playing as a female so I don't think females should have more voice options, but I like playing as a male so there should be more male voice options."

Let me guess, you think there being "more men playing games" justify's this suggestion to make a franchise promoting equality to start promoting inequalitiy? I don't care I think it's a sexist viewpoint.

Why am I even responding, I'm sure I'm just going to get flamed for responding...But I think bioware should know that fans out there disagree with the attitude that has slowly been "flooding the entertainment industry".  Though due to movies like Hungar Games making tons of money I have no idea why other than people like Rush Limbaugh having hissy fits about feminists being ****s or some other ridiculous hatred like that.

That wasn't what she/he meant.

She/he was saying "I hope male and females have more than one voice."
Don't jump down people's throats like that.

"Hopefully more than one voice for male and one voice for female." In the english language according to proper grammer that means more than one voice for male and only one for for female. If they had said "hopefully more than one voice for male and female" than they would have ment what you thought they ment.
It's astounding that you're trying to discredit my argument by arguing against proper english, but I am not surprised because if you even make a mention about sexism then people think your femin@zi and over the line. Also femin@zi is a term given to us by Rush Limbaugh himself who manages 70 sexist smears against a single woman he disagrees with over 1 show. But Rush Limbaugh can go on all day and make money off of these hateful remarks, and I make a simple comment defending equality in a game and I get jumped on no matter what. It has happened to me before when responding to much more explicit comments geared towards femshep mostly. Also Merril, Jeniffer Hepler, Ashley's voice actress and Miranda have been the target of comments that I have disagreed with and recieved flame for being "uptight" by dare speaking against sexism.

Wrong is wrong, and I depend on proper english to understand what people are saying. So yes I stand by my comment. And I'll "jump" as much as I like, and you might think it extreme but I think a well written argument supporting human rights deserves less flame than hate speech even if many people seem to dissagree. <_<

I'd rather we didn't have big names voicing the PC's; save the big names for the companions. For the male, I'd like Daniel Flynn; for those who have played Dark souls, he voiced Solaire, the giant blacksmith, and Vamos. He's got incredible range. For the female; I'm not so sure. I liked Jo Wyatt as a rogue or mage but she wasn't a convincing warrior. So, someone who can cover all archetypes believably is preferable.

In terms of want:

Maybe Nicky Katt could voice Male Inquisitor.

Nicky Katt is an excellent VA and it would be a pleasure to hear his voice again. It would also be a pleasure to hear Kath Soucie as the voice of the Female Inquisitor, or at least as a major role of some kind, the woman is remarkable.

Hopefully no one but if the PC is voiced I'd like it to be either Crispin Freeman or Robin Atkin Downes.

If we could go with non-Canadian then Reuben Langdon (Dante from Devil May Cry series) OR Terrance Carson (Kratos from God of War) for the male.

Either Wendee Lee or Michelle Ruff for the female Inquisitor.

Um...what?
I never said anything about not supporting women's rights or not supporting proper English.

And frankly, this is coming from a feminist, you are over the line. You are comparing me to Rush Limbaugh, and you're not even using proper English and proper grammar in your argument. Not only do I think your argument is poorly written, I also think you are being very rude.

Proper English or not, I understood what she/he was saying.
I feel that everyone else would agree with me when I say that you are overreacting.

And I believe this is off-topic, so please refrain from continuing this.

Kate Higgans or Karen Strassman for female.
Since it's voiceover work, let's use professional voiceactors.

what he said for males, i enjoy Steve, Seeing Johnny as a protagonist that isn't riddled with JRPG or Anime Tropes would be interesting.

Crispin Freeman

I'm sorry, if your request were to happen the world would actually explode.

It just can't take that much awesome, I mean Crispin "Holy Freaking Hell" Freeman as a Protagonist? Companion fan bases would wither a die - The fangirls would be all over the Male Inquisitor like flies on honey and that would be a sure sign that the world is due to end.

Though, I'm not against the idea myself - It's a good way for the world to go.

@Most Definitely Sane: That's what the report button is for :)

Back on topic, I'd like to see Jen Hale back in Dragon Age, though not for the protagonist.  I associate her too strongly with Shepard.

I'm just saying, a sexy voice goes a long way toward me wanting to bang my own character.  Wrong?  Perhaps, but if it is, I don't wanna be right :D

If it were Crispin Freeman I don't think there is a single person on the planet that would want to be right.

I swear to all possible Gods, I have never been a fangirl of anyone, but Crispin Freeman... The man's voice could melt the hardiest of metals.

The bolded are lies and do not in any way represent my beliefs or feelings. Next time you decide to put "words in somebody elses mouth," I suggest you rethink your inclination, because you have done nothing but proven that you are a hateful person. Now after your first flame I corrected my original first line for the benefit of people who may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. This is done.

Michael Beattie for the male.

You know you want it, it would be a complete 180 from Mordin and it would be sublime.

As for the female...hmm...how about Natasha Little? She did good as Janeka in Legacy and was also a major voice in TOR.

I am thinking of VO's who Bioware would use a lot, they tend to be very in-house with their talent unless if its an outside major star, like Martin Sheen for example. I admit Beattie is not a prolific VO actor for them, but honestly that is just more my wishful thinking.

I am also down for Crispin Freeman voicing a love interest.  I will fangirl over that so hard my computer will explode from the force of my virtual humping.

I liked FemHawke a lot actually.
For DA3 I'd love for the main voice actress to sound... girly? As in, not over the top I'm-a-badass-strong woman. It doesn't have to be incredibly pitchy, just not as deep as Morrigan or FemShep.
But that's probably just me.

I'd love voice like Morrigan's! Girly voice for protagonist seems just out of place to me.

But why? Generally speaking girls voice are higher than that; I don't know one woman with a voice as deep as Morrigan's. Like I said, it's not that I want a pitchy japanese sounding voice, that would be very annoying, very fast.

I like voices like that:
(carefull, disney song), it's feminine, but it sounds like a woman still, not a young girl.

But well, to each its own :)

Why does everyone love Crispin Freeman so much?

He is good...but not stupendous. He's kind of like Yuri Loventhal in that way, versatile, but nothing ground-breaking.

Mostly I just have a terrible weak spot for sexy voices.  It's what sold me on Garrus after about two lines of dialogue.  Shallow?  Perhaps, but everyone's got their own tastes
