There are alot of great unisex names out there that would be great for a man or woman.

Jordan. Morgan. Etc........:wizard:

I think DAO had great surnames, and I really disliked the name Hawke. I think DAO surnames sounded a bit more common and subsequently, more believable. While Hawke felt like my character was too iconic, like a superhero or a comic book character. I don't want the protagonist to be Neo, the one, I want him/her to be a regular person.

Its probably, from all not-so-official hints, going to be a title like Inquisitor. Just like we were the Warden in DA:O.

But, then again, that's not at all Word of God kinda stuff.

Mine will be Alexandra no matter what name they decide to name the protagonist.  I always name my female characters that :)

Also, I've stated elsewhere, but if they are really intent on delivering the cinematic angle, I say go all out and name the character Cassandra Pentaghast.

While I'm sure we will hear "Inquisitor" quite often, I'm not convinced we won't also get a surname. Shepard had "Commander" and I'd be surprised if the protagonist didn't have both a title and a surname.

I like "Titles" batter than "Surnames".

Warden was far preferable (to me) than Hawke.

So I'm hoping they'll always refer to me as "Inquisitor".

I patiently dream of the day when a game will somehow be able to recognize my own designed name.

I see no reason why all the main characters from now on can't be named Cassandra Pentaghast, just like I see no reason why Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard can't be our sole and only romance option.

seriously though, hopefully just the Inquisitor or another title so it's easier to be able to choose from other races besides human.

Of course our character will have a name. LOL. Giving it will be a part of the character creation. Either my crush or a random anime character. In-game s/he will probably be referred to by a title. Inquisitor/Raven/Agent/Nightingale/Dovahkiin/Witcher/Exile/Rapist/Whatever

I would be disappointed if got another name like Hawke. I prefer titles, like Warden or what we'll likely be named, "The Inquisitor."

Maybe not though, and we'll just answer to Lord Inquisitor.

Not everyone was happy with the titles: "Warden.... this", "warden commander that"..

I'll be happy with a Shepard/Hawke type of names, not sold to DA3 just yet and having a character that everyone will name" the inquisitor" is not good... not good at all.

I have read books talking about this type of Orders.. is not as charming.. as people want to believe is all the contrary to be exact.
