If we don't hear "No one expects the Orlesian Inquisition!" (thanks, Aimo!) I'm going to be very, very surprised.

You're being facetious, I trust.  DA2 had far too many memes, and other pieces of out of character humour.

Ah yes, "The Marauder Shield". The overpowered artifact allegedly being kept in some dark space in the Deep Roads. The Chantry has already dismissed that claim.

This kind of content should only and I mean ONLY be put in the game at obscure passages that is more like easter eggs than actual content. Alister's "Swooping is bad" from DA 2 only made me face palm, so pathetic.

Mark of the Assassin was painful enough, I'd rather not have to cringe through an entire game.

No, I do not want DA3's dialogue to be dressed in memes, and Bioware shouldn't try to make any new memes either. If they happen they happen, I don't like them being forced, it throws me out of the game.

I agree. Just tiny little easter eggs that people can easily miss but end up on Youtube would be awesome.

That had better be a sarcastic inquistor line somewhere.  I was pretty much counting on that when I saw the title.

References to monty python and similar should either be kept to things like Achievement names, or kept relatively oblique - if someone comments on the Inquisitor's tendency to turn up in unexpected places that's one thing, but outright quoting would be bad.

Nods to previous games are fine, but I'm a little tired of the 'memes' the OP mentioned, personally. I don't think the game environment would be the appropriate medium for such things. Let's keep it classy, shall we?

Then we've already forgotten Marauder Shield's sacrifice.

Any references should be kept subtle. When it's subtle enough that not everyone catches it, it's been done well.

Nooooo. Nothing dates faster and looks more tryhard than forced memes. Just look at Duke Nukem Forever's script.

There's nothing unclassy about memes.

'Keep it classy' is a meme.

I hope there's a "Shield of the Marauder", I'd totally use it!

Because ME3 obviously didn't have enough in-jokes.
