The F/F Romance thread: what would you like to see in the women love interest(s) for DA3's woman protagonist?

All I want from same sex romances is an acknowledgement that they are indeed same sex. Zevran mentioning that he was bisexual but preferred women was a nice touch which added some realism to the relationship, but in DA II it seemed that BioWare was reluctant to address the issue of sexuality directly and wanted to make Hawke genderless in the sense that our LIs would never mention whether they were involved with a man or a woman.
Did I miss something? I don't think I ever did enter into an SS romance with Izzy. Oh, I feel a bit silly now

Edit: Isabela's lines vary depending on the Gender of Hawke... before the first sexy time and MOTA are prime examples of this

And by the final I hope that they will try to go deeper with characters because most of the DA2 companions are big letdown in comparison with DA:O, personaly I liked only Varric, Isabel and Bethany - others were too much zealots.

It should be a very hard(no pun intended) romance to start, and be kind of like Morrigan's, were they don't really acknowledge it, and try to avoid it, and talk you out of it.

Don't care, f/f romances don't feature in my games. Now don't all go shouting bigot at me, it just doesn't light my fire!
I don't really do F/F myself, but I rather adored Leliana's relationship with my Dalish chick back in Origins. It would be nice to see something to that effect once again in DA3. Simple, sweet, and to the point - without overdoing it or making it feel forced and artificial.
Moreover, I've always been one to appreciate returning characters more than new ones. I would prefer the focus is put on the current characters (e.g. Isabela, Merril, etc.) rather than turning them into 5-minute cameos for the sake of making the game standalone. That did not turn out too well for ME3, and I'd hate to see it happen again with DA3.

Her romance lines, lines in her sex scene and after and her romance lines in MoA change on your gender. For example, say you give her to the Arishok(you should feel bad if you this!) if you are male she will say you sucked in bed anyways, where if Hawke was female, her reaction is not the same, she looks like someone just killed her fav pet. Another good example is in MoA Isabela is more jelous and protective with LadyHawke then she is with a maleHawke.King Cousland wrote...

Isn't that the stereotype though, or at least in Bioware games? The s/s romance with Leliana in DA:O was "cute" and so was Merrill's in DA2.Knight of Dane wrote...

As for past characters, i'd like Tallis to be a bi LI. I seem to remember being able to flirt with her in the dlc.
Oh and i'd also like more than 1 LI to choose from. Maybe at least 1 character for each gender and orientation? They don't all have to be party members.

I think it should depend on the character involved.
As mentioned, Isabela approaches a relationship with Female!Hawke differently than Male. Even without doing an Isabela romance, I could tell she has a different attitude towards women vs. men (so it makes sense).
Merrill, on the other hand, was completely different and I don't see why differences should have been implemented in her romance just for the sake of it.

If we're getting into specifics, I would like a strong willed, independent, badass female, preferably with dark hair. I'm not interested in a delicate damsel in distress, or quirky Manic Pixie Dream Girls. But, that's just me, and my tastes. I also support more choice, and I'd love to be pleasantly surprised by a female love interest who isn't at all what I would write, but is appealing nonetheless.
And though I'd really like a new, fresh take on a openly bisexual character who does not necessarily share Zevran and Isabela's views on sex (because bisexuality does not equal promiscuity or a "roguish" attitude towards life in general), I didn't mind the way Fenris and Merrill's sexuality was handled, at all. You don't *need* to know what a person does in their bedroom, unless you plan to romantically pursue them.

Well, if they did include a female Kossith, she probably wouldn't talk about either liking or hating the Qun, because if she was a Kossith, she wouldn't believe in the Qun, meaning she wouldn't be a Qunari and she wouldn't have to be a Tal Vashoth, because those are Qunari who left the Qun.silentassassin264 wrote...
I don't want her talking about her religion the whole time. Leliana would have been great if it wasn't for all the "Thank the maker" stuff. I would really like a Kossith warrior because they are my favorite race/faction and stuff but if she kept on talking about the Qun (Qunari) or hating the Qun (Tal Vashoth), it would get really really annoying, like Leliana. Other than that, go wild. I don't particularly care if she is girl next door like Merrill or well Isabela seeing as I liked both. I trust that Bioware can write a decent character.
