Do we have a canon age for Empress Celene?

Because ever since I played MotA and read the codex entries about the dowager and Empress Celene, I've wanted just one thing.
A maquerade ball quest. The PC has to attend that ball in order to gather super secret information. By flirting and charming your way through the Orlesian nobility, you manage to impress the dowager. After asking a dance of her (with her accepting, oc, if you've done well) everyone is mightily impressed. Cue Empress Celene taking an interest in the PC. (What kind of interest obviously depends on if the PC is willing to lay on the charm) And if you play your cards right, you get to marry her, much like Anora in DA:O, except this time you can do so as a female as well.
I mean, it's Orlais. You can't tell me the Empress can't find a way to tell everyone else 'F*** you' and marry a woman.
(And if Celene is in her forties....quite honestly, that makes it more appealing. I have this thing for older women, you see...)

...*sigh* I'm still sad Anora wouldn't even consider my FemWarden as a consort. First you take Morrigan away from me, Bioware, and then I can't even have that. I was stuck with the creepy preacher girl that wanted to keep my eyelashes in a jar! Image IPB

Oh, come on. That was endearing.
I won't disagree with the rest of your post, though, even if I have a thing for elves. But... I'm going to be a mage. Would Celene really marry one at such high political cost during a time of such instability? I mean, maybe I could see being her consort...

True. It could be seen as a sort of union between mages and the rest of Thedas. Come on Bioware, we gotta pave the way for peace here!
And I guess it really depends on what kind of standing the PC has at the end of the game. We never got to see how Ferelden would have reacted to having a mage/elf/dwarf as prince consort/queen, since neither Anora nor Alistair would go along with it. But if the PC ended up being a hero, like the Warden, it may work. There are people who would rebel, of course, but those can be squashed.
Or it could be like in DA:O, as in she will only marry you if you are a rogue or warrior. Mages may have the option of becoming her mistress. That would make sense.

Then again, I remember reading a statement from Gaider about love and marriage in Thedas. According to that, s/s relationships are unusual, but not looked down upon. It's a 'none of anyone's business sort of deal'.
Marriage is, however, usually between a man and a woman, since it's seen as tradition.
He also said that a inter-racial relationship would be seen as weirder than s/s relationships, however, so who knows what's possible.
(This is taken purely from memory, so I may be wrong.)

It'd be interesting to have dev confirmation on this, but I'm just not really seeing much of an opportunity to marry Celene for anyone, considering all the political implications. I don't even know if Celene is going to be alive in this game; she may well already be assassinated.

Actually there's someone else in DA2 I wouldn't mind having as a LI in DA3.

The short haired french bird that was interrogating Varric. I though she was pretty hot.

Archetypes I would like to see:

- Dwarf woman... nuff said! :P

- Roguish mage with a penchant for sarcasm, bribery, gambling, and above all power! She is however a bit paranoid often wondering if the woman she loves (the PC) has ulterior motives, keeps her heart neatly tucked away so that it can't be damaged... (So sorta Aria T'Loak from Mass Effect but with more animations than sitting on a couch)

- Strong direct female who while more than willing to risk their life for the PC is assertive and can even be aggressive at times in her attempt to maintain superiority over the PC. She would react negatively to the PC "interacting" with any other romance option even becoming outwardly aggressive to the NPC but preferably in semi sarcastic/threatening manor...

I want Morrigan to be all mine! :3 If Morrigan refuses to let me love up on her, I would like a strong female character. Preferably a warrior with a hard personality, dark hair, and awesome armour! :P Another highly sarcastic woman, like Morrigan, would be cool too. Merrill and Leliana were a bit too innocent for my taste, and Isabela was a bit too "free caring" for me. :P I either want a battle hardened warrior or someone I can poke fun at the maker with! ^_^

Definitely.

I always thought a love interest that was mentally unstable(or at least seemed so) would be a hell of a love interest to have.
