Well if I wrote the character, here's something off the top of my head, basic details. Meaning with time I could do SO MUCH BETTER-

Girl, born into the world mad. Never known sanity. Believes that she is not insane, but rather, "too sane". Always finding things funny, has a sometimes sick, sometimes cute laugh, with one hell of a sense of humor. Has episodes of "sanity" around the player from time to time(rarely), but never actually loses their insanity. Typically wants to take the most chaotic path possible to achieve a goal, those goals being good goals and bad goals(save kittens and kill good people, get me). Her thing is that she tries to create chaos wherever she goes. Examples-

Dalish Elf Camp- A bunch of tomes go missing, and they end up in random parts of the camp, burnt. Crazy Girl talks to you like, "I have no idea what you're talking about" and laughs if you ask her if she did it. /she totally did

Circle Tower- She takes control of a demon, walks them right up to the barrier, and dances with the demon(mind control) right in front of everyone, joking about letting the demon through. She destroys it though, followed by a cute little giggle.

Orzammar- Running through every district naked. Not that you'd see it, but you'd totally hear about it.

Redcliffe- Would dance with Bann Teagan when Conner got him to dance..

etc etc, you know.

For the romance path, she decides to try and convince the player to "be mad with me" and go around being two bringers of chaos and mayhem everywhere. No real commitment, more of a "psychotic friends with benefits" type thing.

No matter what you do, you can never get her to be sane. She'll always be off the deep end. Romance her, and while you WON'T be acting like she does in game, you'll find out that in the post-game, the two of you traveled together being absolutely nutters- or acting like it in your case.

Cause its FUN.

that sounds like fun that would be the friendship path the ravily path should be about helping her get sane or you know saneish

How about someone with a mental illness who isn't a mass murderer? That would be a nice change.
