id like a spectrum imo, the shy friendly girl, the strong no nonsence or the a women that likes to flirt (but only with my char imo! ) and make them attractive this time around all we had in da2 was Isabela, the average woman npc can look like ogers for all i care, but my party should be *cough* good looking

You know, when I saw her for the first time, all I could think was "Oh god, that chin. Scarier than any Darkspawn could ever be!". I didn't find her attractive at all. Red hair, seemingly aggressive attitude and an enormous chin? No thanks.
But across multiple playthoughs, I got to know her and her personality, what a strong character she was and how she'd stand by Hawke even in the darkest of times.
And I didn't even care anymore.. She's no Merrill (my heart will forever be in her creepy skeleton hands) and she sometimes still annoys me to death, but goddammit, one of my Hawke's wanted to romance her and was completly heartbroken when Aveline wouldn't give her the time of day.

I actually  was so upset by the chin so I modded her just enough to fix the riduculous chin proportions, and it made her 10 times sexier for me . Nothing major, at all. A diamond "in the rough" polished a bit more <3

I would like to see all the companions open to romance F/M, M/M or F/F allowing you to pursue a romance with whomever, if you pursue a person with straight tendencies it might be harder to get the romance going, but when you fight for your lives near one another, its hard to be choosey when love comes knocking after all tomorrow you might be dead.

It didn't bother me until I downloaded a "Aveline mop" (that actually kept all of the data besides hair color and stuff, it was kinda more a converted .mor) but once I saw it in CC, then had her around, and had her cutscenes, it got really distracting.

Other than Isabella and Bethany, it was pretty rare to find an attractive female in the game. And I second the whole 'mature f/f LI' thing.
I want an older woman. (Or even an older man.) Just give me someone who is not pretty much the same age as my PC. The conflict that could bring! Like needing to convince the LI that no, I really don't mind that you are a lot older. Yes, you're still very attractive. No, I'm not going to leave you for that other female LI that's so much younger than you are.
That'd be cute. >.<

Especially if saif LI is otherwise completly confident in herself and her abilities. She's just not quite sure why you would pick her when you could have that young, attractive woman over there. Not that she'd ever admit to being insecure.

So many possibilities that will probably never be explored.

Yup, and it certainly doesn't mean the idea will never be explored. True, we very likely won't have the older LI in DA3, but we still might get lucky - Cassandra fits the description above at least somewhat, although the conflict would have to be something other than age ofc.
Good enough for me:), and I can be patient and wait till DA4 to get my hands on a cougar:wub:

Sure she is...but that only becomes apparent at the end. When you see her for the first time at the end of Act 2 and even at the beginning of Act 3, she is...intense and has a strong opinion on mages, but not necessarily insane. I kinda hoped there would be some way to get her out of her paranoia. Not to mention that most of the mages did turn out to be bat****, so Meredith seemed like the lesser evil...at first.
And my jerkass Hawke sided with her for the lulz.

Maybe, but considering Bioware's track record...did we ever have an LI that was considerably older (considerably meaning 10 years or so) than the PC?
We had Samara, but it sadly never really went anywhere. And Liara doesn't count. She's practically still a teenager by Asari standards.

Really? He never striked me as older than the PC. (Well, yes, older, but not considerably. Maybe because his age was never adressed. Unless I missed something. Never romanced him.)

Well, his daughter was about five/six when she was killed and he spent two or three years after that serching for the killers. Conversely the protagonist is about twenty-ish. Also, there was discussion about character ages in the old Bioware forums (including some devs). As I recall, Sky is about thirty-ish.
