As I understand it, they are shooting for Fall 2013, correct? But things could happen so that it's delayed to 2014...

But as Narrow Margin said, this is off topic for the thread, and if you want to make a new thread about same sex romances being relegated to NPCs only, go ahead.  This thread is for talking about what we'd like to see in a female same sex romance.

Oops! My bad. You're right. Back on topic!

you are the ones who derailed the thread, not me. I was only suggesting what I would like to see in an F/F option, and that was, purely, one where you can talk to them and get to know them, but they are not actually fighting alongside you.

Lena Headey doing VA for a F/F option I'm sure would get the lady gamers going crazy in a good way.

I've loved her since The Sarah Connor Chronicles.  I thought the show was going to be sacrilgeous when I heard about it, because nobody can replace Linda Hamilton, but Lena Headey made the role her own.  I'd love to see her doing voice acting, especially something like the DA series.

I do wonder, however, if the majority of characters in Inquisition are going to be Orlesian, and thus the voice actors would be primarily unknown (to english speaking audiences) French VAs.  But I really like Leliana's voice, so I have faith in the casting department.

They don't all have to be Orlesian, so its no worry.

You know, after mentioning Lena Headey, I think it'd be cool if Bioware one day tried to get as many actors and actresses as they could from Game of Thrones and get them doing VA for a later DA game.

mota accents were very bad. i know we're going to orlais and all but i just really hate orlesians... and dont get me started about antiva, the problem is its full of antivans. honestly i have really disliked all the accents in both games thus far. kinda personal preference though

True, we could have characters from the Anderfels!  Have we heard that accent yet?

And while I obviously really like Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire, I remember how, even before DA:O came out (and before the HBO series was in production), comparisons were being made to the books, and I worried that people would call the DA games a ripoff or "wannabe" if they borrowed too much from GoT.  I mean, there are some amazing actors on the show, and I'm sure they'd be great voice actors too, but there are so many talented professional voice actors out there already, who aren't associated in the public's mind visually with any one franchise.

Although I must admit that if they could somehow get more Joss Whedon alumni into the DA games, I'd be all for it.  But that's totally different.

A Song of Ice and Fire was an inspiration for Bioware when it came to DAO, that's all.

Can I vote for Amy Acker, preferably doing her Illyria voice. Although that might just be my thing for blue women influencing my thinking. Speaking of which the actress who played Zhaan on Farscape had a very nice voice, I can't remember her name offhand, but I definitely remember her voice.

I was thinking of Amy Acker, as well. Even without the Illyria voice, I think she'd be great voicing an elf.

Yes!  I *love* Amy Acker.  Also Eliza Dushku, she has done voice acting for video games before, and she seems very cool and probably would be enthusiastic about it.  And Charisma Carpenter, Alyson Hannigan, and Emma Caulfield.

Oh!  And Gina Torres.  She is an excellent voice actress.

Yeah, basically every Whedon actress is who I would want.

I love Alyson Hannigan, too! I would also love to see a character voiced by Jewel Staite. :D

Virginia Hey. Although to me she will always be 'Warrior Woman' from Mad Max 2. ^_^

Oh wow. Yes indeed.

Busy doing films and GoT of course, but she did find time to play Callista in Dishonoured so who knows?

Hmm. Well, I could definitely go for some Summer Glau. Or Eliza Dushku. :wizard:

If Bioware managed to get Emilia Clarke as voice actress *and* face model for a romanceable character I probably wouldn't even look at the other options tbh lol.

T'would be rather amusing if they made her character a primal blood mage

And whatever her weapon is, depending on her class, its called Drogo.

If she's got two weapons, Drogo and Rhaego.

I was unsure of who you were talking about, but this can leave little doubt.

And I approve!

So there was some talk yesterday about the possibility of Felicia Day returning as Tallis; how does everyone feel about this?

Personally, I wasn't really a fan, despite liking Felicia Day; but I wouldn't mind seeing her again as an NPC. I'm just not sure I'd like to have her back in the party full-time. But if she was, she'd probably be romancable; she's pretty easy on the eyes, in my opinion.

Anyway, just rumors on top of rumors, of course. Thought I'd ask. ;)

I love Felicia Day, but I found Tallis infuriating (mainly the inability to call her on her terrible logic). I don't want to kill her like some people have called for, but I would at least like to be able to intelligently debate her character and refuse to help her, if another situation like MotA arises...I mean, we allowed her to get away with information that could lead to the deaths of many innocent people, if those spies on her list are effective. I didn't believe that they were worth protecting, and I wouldn't have let it go for the price of a shiny bauble or even a kiss, if it were up to me.

But, of course, that was how I felt about her in MotA. Things can change, her character could be different, and maybe I wouldn't be so very opposed to her mission this time around. I think it would be a lot different if she were treated more like any other companion, and less like the special celebrity guest star.

I agree with all of this. I'd be happy to have her as another companion/LI provided that she was another companion, and not the star of the show. And if my character (especially a mage) was able to refute her arguments with more interesting dialogue than just a vague "you're brainwashed" or "sounds like you're having doubts".

Also, a minor thing, but I hope if she did return, her eyes didn't look so strangely washed out and basic. I don't know what it is about them, but it looked like somebody thought "I don't care about the detail of her eyes, I'll slap a bit of pale blue on there and call it a day."
