I saw an N7 level 3 yesterday with a Black Widow X. I asked him how he got it.
He said he spent $400.00 in BioWare points.
No matter what comes out tomorrow, this will still be here.
You know, I'm happy Bioware is making money off micro-transactions so they can keep putting out free DLC and all.
but I have to wonder what's going through the mind of somebody who spends 6-7x times as much on store packs as they did on the game itself. That's almost 3 times as much as it would cost me to buy a brand new Xbox 360.
People are rich and impatient. If you were a multimillionaire and your kid won't stop annoying you until they can max out their weapons by buying them all, you'd probably do the same thing. $400 is nothing to a millionaire.
About advertising other games.

They'd probably be annoyed with your need to project what you're about to do.

That should cover the cost of 10 new hamsters for the servers!

I suppose if I've been a millionaire my whole life.
Cause if I got there from where I am now, I most likely wouldn't do that.

Probably playing on a yacht via a discreet Satellite ultra-high-speed web feed.
His version of ME3 also allows him to play a Vanguard off host...................

This was their first forray into this type of game, and i'll say and i'm sure all of you will agree it was a commendable effort into turning Mass effect into a legit Multiplayer.
ME3 certainly was, but Dragon Age 2 is an absolute piece of trash. I know that sounds harsh, but that's what they really need to hear. Unfortunately, from the sounds of things, DA3 isn't headed in the right direction at all.
The company that once produced the greatness of RPGs like the Baldur's Gate series and DAO is now in the business of producing console arcade garbage RPGs.

Sorry, you're kinda right, it's a bit bad form. You don't walk into McDonalds and yell that you'll be eating a whopper tomorrow either.
That's a horrible analogy. A better one would be eating at the same McDonalds for six months, building a raport with others who dine there and the staff, then letting them know you're going to try out that new burger joint they just built when the time comes for your next hearty meal.
I bow to your superior analogy-making skills, that is indeed better. Mostly I was going for the cheap sarcasm inherent in the first part of my post, the burger bit was really more to not overtly be trolling the OP.

I can understand some of the frustration with BW over the bugs with the game but there is a balancing act between committing time and resources to fixing bugs versus developing new content. This game has been out a while BW has already made their money and yet new content is being developed for the most part for free. I think most of the player base is going to be moving if not sooner maybe a little later. There is no reason to shoot BW a big FU on the way out the door.
Finally, someone who gets it.

Mass effect has deeply effected me and will probably influence how I approach games (and what games I approach) for years to come....hell my son will probably know what a mass accelerator is before he can write his own name....well not really but he does look at my desktop and go HEY ITS YER GAME.

Well, I think what OP sees in these posts he references IS your analogy. But that's the problem, that analogy doesn't fit the situation in the slightest. That analogy equates to a Borderlands fanboy coming on the forums to say he'll be blaying BL2 (the shouting of where he'll be eating) when he's never even played a single second of any ME game (the randomly walking into a restaurant that isn't where he'll be eating).

I remember getting sick of Diablo 2 really early because so many skills were crap and there were bugs galore in trying to even create/join games and it just seemed like a travesty of a game with no progress on being fixed. Never could get back into it. Pretty irrelevant to its actual success.

Basically 4-5 free DLC's just for pre-ordering...
No stupid balance changes every week, boss fights, actual teamwork, sharing of loot instead of individual fail stores...
Borderlands was made to be a Multi-Player game, whereas Mass Effect had it tacked on to increase the life of the game... (Not working too well...)
Borderlands only has a few issues with glitches and they usually don't break the game.
Mass Effect has game breaking glitches left and right that will probably never be totally fixed.
I don't have to wait 45 minutes to find a lobby in Borderlands, I hit custom match and can find one instantly.
Borderlands is just better.

It looks like Tim Burton and PeeWee Herman collaborated to design the graphics and every single person I know who bought it returned it the next day.
