I've heard borderlands is better, but I don't want to shell out $60 on it when I don't even have Halo4's preorder completely paid yet.Drummernate wrote...

Basically 4-5 free DLC's just for pre-ordering...
No stupid balance changes every week, boss fights, actual teamwork, sharing of loot instead of individual fail stores...
Borderlands was made to be a Multi-Player game, whereas Mass Effect had it tacked on to increase the life of the game... (Not working too well...)
Borderlands only has a few issues with glitches and they usually don't break the game.
Mass Effect has game breaking glitches left and right that will probably never be totally fixed.
I don't have to wait 45 minutes to find a lobby in Borderlands, I hit custom match and can find one instantly.
Borderlands is just better.
Boss fights may actually show up in multiplayer if enough people make noise over it.

Here's as far as I will go with Borderlands:
It looks like Tim Burton and PeeWee Herman collaborated to design the graphics and every single person I know who bought it returned it the next day.
The reason it looks like that is they don't just want another copy & paste first person shooter game.
It is what makes it so unique.
If everyone returned it the next day they are probably more into Call of Duty or maybe Peggle.

I won't be getting Halo 4 for a while... probably... if ever.
The only reason I bought Reach is because it had Elites in it and I loved the Elites in Halo 3, and in Halo 4 you cannot play as them anymore.
They were my favorite part of the Halo franchise.

This is what i'm talking about as was Nucleartech... Yes i understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion and as to what game you'll be playing after today.
The only thing i have to say, is... .don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Yeah, this was pretty unnecessary, but it's a minority type post. It still does nothing for your point.

I loved the cel shading! The whole graphical theme of Borderlands kind of set it apart and gave it a great asthetic. There were early renders where it wasn't cel shaded, and in the end I think Gearbox totally made the right choice.
Personally, I just didn't get all excited about it once I got about half way through the game, it was just... more of the same. Which is sort of odd, since I keep coming back to ME3MP, which is... just more of the same? In this case, however, I think it is because I am drawn to the ME universe and story much more than Borderlands... which had enough plot to link the bazillions of guns together...

Technically it is against forum policy to talk about things unrelated to the multiplayer of this game.
So no, it actually isn't okay for them to express their thoughts.

I'm sure plenty of their devs will get in some Borderlands 2 time.
Though contrary to what some around here seem to believe, not everybody in the world who calls themselves a gamer is going to playing it. I'm also not entirely convinced we should have more faith in the guys who released Duke Nukem Forever. Just saying =P(I know it wasn't entirely their fault)
Personally I don't find anything about it that great other than the art style.

They were busy working on Borderlands 2 when they made that stupid game...
Same with Colonial Marines... that game is going to suck... with 4 year old outdated graphics and terrible animations.
They are concentrating so hard on Borderlands 2 to make all the epic that was supposed to be in the other games flow into it.
They probably only had 1 or 2 guys working on those games at a time while the rest of the studio worked on Borderlands.

A borderlands release and the subsequent drop in player base is directly related to ME3MP.

That sounds suspiciously like somebody making excuses =P
Oddly enough I seem to recall arguments about another game that was supposed to have a whole bunch of epic in it. It was some time around May 15th I think.

The issue is. Talking about it isn't.
So the issue I'm referring to is not related.

and Sonic, just because it's Sonic. Despite not having played it I feel it's a pretty safe assumption to say it had a lot of hype about being the one to finally revitalize the series, and then it ended up being a disapointment for most people.
