We are under strict guidlines not to talk about DLCs until after they have gone through and have been approved by first party certification.  That has been the case for all of our past DLC, so you can keep in mind, if there is anything coming, then it would be in a state where it cannot be discussed.  Not even an ETA can be mentioned.

Tell us something completely wrong and untrue then.

Yeah tell us about something not related to the DLC....

Let's see.  Casey H has a full-sized Krogan head mounted on his wall.

Finally something worth the prices of the stuff in the BW store.  Fake alien heads.  I want a batarian.  Who wouldn't want to hunt and kill a batarian?

I would waste money on that.

I would end up shooting it. :pinched:

You know, I recall a time when Bioware used to get active in the community, give feedback, updates, and was widely-regarded as being utter badassery personified into a company. Then something happened, and it all stopped, replaced by gag orders, non-statements (we can't even get a "we're working on it, here's a token roadblock we've hit, so you understand why this is taking so long" statement), and more.

What happened should be obvious.

I miss those days.

i like how this is phrased.  "so you can keep in mind, if THERE IS anything coming, then IT WOULD BE IN A STATE where it cannot be discussed."

lesse 'strict guidelines not to talk about DLCS until after .... first party certification ...... if...anything coming THEN it would be in a state it cannot be discussed"

So...  you are NOT saying that your adamant refusal to talk about it is an indication that it's NOT going through third party certification right now?

(did i use the right number of negatives?.... hmm)

I'd don't expect BW to pump out dlc or patches as fast as we the players demand it, I do expect reasonable communication about when those updates will happen, you have a ball park eta. Talk to your bosses at EA and tell them you need to communicate that ETA with players in order to keep them interested in (and not pissed off at) the game despite delays. Its in EAs and BW's best interest to communicate things like ETAs to keep a good relationship with the customer, otherwise you just appear apathetic. If BW want to be apathetic I will take my time and money elsewhere

Definitely wish there was more transparency in that... however we've had a few laughs with the biotic god himself Onetrueshot about some of these ideas.
I do wish we'd have more communication with Derek, Chris, maybe even NPelews, or hell... even Eric.

Yeah...

Battlefield 3 announced their DLC's in what like 9 months in advance?

Something like that... People are baffled as to why so much of this game is being kept quiet.
On one hand... EA is saying, go promote the hell outta Bf3... but now EA with Bioware is acting quite different.

BF3 dlc has a price tag. ME3 (mp) dlc does not

Part of being a gamer is having multiple games to play and jiggle around. Majority of gamers like to switch around. For me, just because fighting games like Tekken Tag 2 or DOA5 is out and about, makes me want to play more ME3 multi. But if it's shooter all the time, meh.

You're talking to a bunch of gamers of course they'll make reference of what's coming out, it's just the way it is. I think I'm not all that into Borderland 2 personally, it won't really change my habits at playing ME3 multi. Still on a mad quest to max out all ultra rare. Getting closer...

And with Bioware pretty much hints at things to come without saying as much in this forum, man, I might as well keep at it.

I understand why there're guidelines for not being able to divulge information on DLC's, but I think you can't use that excuse for not talking about the timeframe for patches. I know there's no definite date for patch release because the patch will need to be certified in the case of console and you don't have control over that, but I didn't even see anyone from Bioware mentioning the patch wouldn't be available in the next month three months ago. If you can't release the patch in two months' time, you should be able to at least say, "not in the next fortnight". The lack of that communication does little to assuage people's thoughts that the staff in Bioware are only fixing those bugs in their leisure time.

I'll be playing borderlands 2 when it comes out. This isn't a crime, we're allowed to play different games.
It definitely doesn't mean I'm never going to play me3 multiplayer again, that's not the case at all.
Me3 multiplayer isn't a girlfriend that we have to stay faithful to, it's a game. Get some perspective.

We realize what's coming out tomorrow, we realize that this game has issues and that Bioware is looking to fix or patch the game. What's really starting to become annoying especially to an avid fan is the amount of posts or replies to OH I'M GOING TO PLAY ANOTHER GAME THAT COMES OUT TOMORROW. --snip--.

Then stop reading those posts, duh.

BTW it now IS tomorrow and it is like getting out of an abusive relationship oh man over a couple hours of pure joy and none of the frustrations yes yes yes :o

I actually found some old Bioware employees reviews of BW as a company through Kotaku.

Kotaku article: http://kotaku.com/59...eo-game-company

Glassdoor anonymous review: http://www.glassdoor...-RVW1756705.htm

A direct quote of the cons:
''Cons – The large corporate mogul of EA opens doors but
closes independent thought. Only on the micro-level may creativity
thrive, for revolutionary ideas that can be iterated on rapidly in a
small company setting turn into months-long trudge of certification,
documentation, and stagnation
. Long "assembly-line" like production
pipelines turn great ideas into watered-down results, quashing the
desire for creativity into production, as the outcome of both becomes
identical.''

Also explains why DLC news are hard to come by non-disclosure policies and certification are pretty much hurting BW publicity and fanbase more than it helps.

It's sad really.

Honestly am more surprised there hasn't been any excessive spazzing over Project Eternity, even though this is the multiplayer section.

Well, EA has earned its award: consumerist.com/2012/04/congratulations-ea-you-are-the-worst-company-in-america-for-2012.html

After more than 250,000 votes,
Consumerist readers ultimately decided that the type of greed exhibited
by EA, which is supposed to be making the world a more fun place, is
worse than Bank of America's avarice, which some would argue is the
entire point of operating a bank.

It takes something special to get people to hate you more than a bank.

Maybe Handsome Jack actually runs EA? Too bad for Bioware, anyway.

That is quite true. EAs real problem is caging the creativity of their workers.
A game called Overstrike:

Is now Fuse:

I was interested in overstrike but when you look at Fuse trailer. Its humour and characters have been butchered.
No creativity > No sale.

Add to that terrible business practices and were on the highway to fail.

BW at least has some creative leeway with Mass Effect because it's an established IP from before EA.

Thing is. We'll never get any new IPs as creative as ME from BW in the future unless they manage to make them risk free.

BW is hosed if things continue like EA wants.

That's really sad. I was looking forward to overstrike, but fuse looks terrible. I hope the trailers are misleading.
