Please make this possible Bioware.

I know you guys can do a keyboard/mouse UI AND a controller UI and switch between them

Enabling controllers should not change anything for those who want to use a keyboard.

Nobody should be against it as it only gives more options to the user. Nothing is taken away.

I really want this to be acknowledged by somebody at Bioware that this is being considered.

Controller support on the PC is the make or break for me.

For some reason Bioware has a poor history of enabling controllers on PC versions of its game and that is simply inexcusable this day and age.

I think they did alright in Jade Empire.

I think it will depend on how different the PC release will be from the console versions. If it's anything like Origins, I wouldn't care less about controller support in the PC version. Mass Effect, on the other hand, could have had controller support on PC. I'm surprised they never implemented it.

Aha! so the glorious pc master race is coming to the consoles on it's hands and knees asking for controller support now is it! Off with their heads!

I can't see a reason why the PC version can't have the console UI built in.

PC and console versions are being made by the same company.

It's not like it's something that the PC version can't handle.

LOL.

Actually I'm primarily a console gamer, which is why I want to sit on my couch with controller in hand.

But then I built a PC to play Skyrim and my computer blows away my PS3.

Sadly I ended up having to buy the PS3 version of ME:3 because I couldn't use a controller.

I really don't want to play DA:3 on my PS3 if I can avoid it.

Yes, I play all games on PC but really like playing Bioware games with a controller...as a result I got ME3 on xbox360 but had a subpar experience with terrible load times, 30fps, and low res textures.

Come on Bioware, every other company in existence nowadays that is making multiplatform titles manages to support the controller on the PC version. You can do it!

It's not like it's a new thing for PC games. I bought an Xbox 360 controller to play some PC games that aren't suitable for keyboards (like Super Meatboy, Lego Indiana Jones). PC gaming is about choice. You take that away, and we might as well be playing on a console.

I like that, "PC gaming is about choice"

Bioware is an AAA developer so it should be something that is well within their ability.

I was reading a piece about this game in the newest Game Informer and they had a small section talking about the PC version being the superior version, but all they mentioned was M&KB controls.

Bioware, please don't tell me you are taking this ignorant route once again and snuffing controller support as the only way the PC version is "superior". PC is about choice, and your fans have spoken very loudly on this issue. Give us controller support along with M&KB support so we can play as we see fit.

Loadly? Come of it, you are not some part of a huge tide of change.

By all means, let's add controller support for a version that is apparently supposed to optimized for PC interface controls. Then, you can all **** on how hard it is to use the controller so and ask them to make the PC version MORE like the console, then we can just do away with the PC version!

Hyperbole, I know, but everyone was being too touchy feely and nice in these threads.

Oh man, I am sooooo glad someone created a actual thread for this cuz I have been feeling the same way since DAII I wouldnt buy Mass Effect on PC simply because I dont like using the keyboard for these types of games. I always end up going to my XBOX360 and w all know even with LED, 1080p AND 160 refresh....it still looks like garbage to my Skyrim on my built up PC. So I am totally with you man someone HAS to acknowlege this as a request....I mean they got our aggrivation at the bland areas or as I say (over reused) areas in DAII and lack of armor customization.....so why ignore UI and Contoller revamp....dont get me wron LOVE the games but BioWare come on give a brotha a lil more work this time you taking til 2014 lol

I am not entirely sure, but I think a developer already confirmed controller support in a twin thread to this.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer this question for me;. I have both DAO & DAII on xbox. I am looking to change over to using my pc primarily for games, and have been disapointed with the fact that I can not use my windows xbox controller with the pc versions of theses games. Will the new game "Inquisition" pc version FINALLY allow you to use a controller? I am over these consoles especially Microsoft. I can't imagine they would still continue to limit themselves I am sure there is a decent market for people who love pc games but don't either like or have a hard time using JUST the mouse and keyboard

Personally, I would play more console games if I could use KBM to do it.

Thank you Filament for your response. I clicked on what I thought was a link to the source, but it just redirected to this page. Do you know which PAX video it is in?

I don't see why someone would want a controller over keyboard and mouse for a Dragon Age game but...

Bioware really has no excuse not to implement it... and that was especially the case for the Mass Effect series.

Seriously shame on them.

I personally hope they will implement controller support too. Playing games with a keyboard and mouse sucks unless its RTS.

I've always been rather surprised this isn't a feature, especially when developers try to bring genres which are eminently better served with KBM... Real Time Strategy comes to mind immediately, to say nothing of First Person Shooters. (Although that raises debates within the competitive sphere)

Anywho, I can't think of any instance in modern gaming that doesn't allow a Gamepad option, even if there wasn't, give the mod community a weekend to change that.

Well as long as they don't force us to use controller it's all good for me. I'm more comfortable with a Keyboard/Mouse than with a controller but I can understand that some people are more comfortable with a controller.

And I would agree with Sylvius and Deflagratio, I'd play more console games if I could use KBM to do it.
