I cannot stand when the text present doesn't match the voice of the main character.

There have been several times where I made a choice based on the text - and the voice acting said something I felt was wildly out of character.

If you must put in voice acting - and I know you must, since this is the new trend - then please have it match the text exactly. Even if it's several lines of voice acting.

For those of us against voice acting(probably very few) - I think this would help a lot (though maybe I'm wrong for others).

I'm starting a new playthrough of DA2 right after doing a full playthrough of DAO, and I can tell there is such an abrupt difference between the two games. The dialogue wheel is pissing the hell out of me because what is written isn't what they say (even the intent is different), such that I will now have to rely on the icons (friendly/sarcastic/rival/love...) because it's the icons that reflect the thoughts of the character and whatever is being said will be somewhat along those lines. The text that is actually there is not to be trusted. So I've said it before and I'll say it again, get rid of the wheel and make the text what they say [with square brackets to clarify intent if unclear]. Of course you can't type all of it out, but just the 1st sentence or a paraphrase of what they actually say would suffice.

That being said, the dialogue needs to be written better.
