DA2 was not as good as DA:O, most of us agree on that.

But there is also one other thing most of us agree on, Varric was AWSOME.

If you like me would just love to see him back in DA3 and not just in a cameo but a party member or in some other big roll, make your voice heard in this thread =)

Varric, Isabela and Aveline where the only characters in DA2 that could not die, so I expect them to return in some form, either big roles, companions or a side quest.

I'd love to see him again- either as a cameo, quest giver, or hell, even as a companion again. I'd also love to have Aveline show up and beat the snot out of someone. Or, heh, have her chase Varric down. I can just see Varric running for his life as Aveline runs after him with a giant board that says 'Don't'

 I want Varric back. Not as a companion though. He's Hawke's bestie. If he were to suddenly start hanging with The Inquisitor, then it'd feel wrong. He should play a minor role, but one that you have to interact with alot. Like someone you regularly go to for intel. Maybe Cassandra puts you on his trail to put you in the direction of the companions you'll eventually recruit.

Alternatively, Varric is the main character in the first DLC. While every battle is planned and you can fight the groups of enemies if you like, but there always the option of talking your way out of it. The icon you choose would never hint at what Varric will say and with always be paraphrased as "No sh*t, so there I was...". There will be about 10 different stories that Varric can say for each instance that symbol pops up on the conversation wheel. Because, who doesn't love to here Varric talk?

Agreed please bring Varric back as a companion. It will be interesting to see his take on this whole Inquisition..
