Cullen seems the best bet.

Indeed, Cullen seems rather likely... But then so does Cassandra, so hard to say if they would both be companions. Could make for some interesting conversations, tho. Esp if Cullen loses faith, and she still has hers in spades.

I think any Templar would be interesting as a window into the Order's new mission and duty after splitting from the Chantry.

Cullen has enough going for him.
  • He's been in Origins and seen the worst-case scenario of mages unprotected by their own folley and demons.
  • He's been in DA2 and seen the Templar at their worst, fully corrupt with little responsibility to their masters. He's also seen how this can result in a case similar to Origins.
  • He's now involved in a war where the conflict between two factions is reaching it's head and his divided loyalties will be confronted.

Dear, Maker! No! Unless it's a female templar, but of course, we're already likely to have Cassandra.

Why it has to be a female templar ? Cuz' she has boobies ? The only thing that would be interesting with a templar ? lol.

And seekers seem different from templars.

Yeah that's just what we need a up-tight chantry zealot be-moaning our every move. As for Cullen Gods no, remember him lusting after my human female mage in origins. Yuck springs to mind. Never used Sebastion outside of his personal quest, couldn't stand his endless anti mage pro chantry ramblings, even when my character was a apostate mage, so big No.

Seconded. Bonus points if he has luscious golden locks and a sexy Ferelden accent!

And THIS is why women shouldn't be allowed to play video games! (jk)

I think there are high chances to see Cullen as a companion.

As long as he doesn't constantly whine about how evil mages are over and over, then yeah I would love one.

What about one that just suddenly kills a mage during a conversation?

Supported.

I can just imagine the player trading with some mage and suddenly the inventory screen turns off and you just see the mage's corpse on the floor and the templar standing over him.

Or you're speaking with some random mage as part of a side quest to restore some order to a town and suddenly the templar just draws his weapon and starts attacking the mage while he's talking to you.

That templar better have the good sense to wait until after I've committed highway robbery, I mean, after I've finished shopping.

Yeah well we sexy awesome templar supporters had to put up with stupid whiny closed minded extremist Anders and idiot Merril for Dragon Age 2 so it's only fair that you silly mage supporters now have to put up with an anti-mage zealot.

"FOR THE MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKER!"

Alistair wasn't even a Templar and wasn't really anti-mage. He had templar training but was never a "full" templar. Cassandra is a Seeker and I believe they're still part of what is left of The Chantry. Meanwhile The Templars have split from The Chantry and what mages to be dealt with.

If we're not getting a templar companion, then I want no mage companions for DA3. They suck.
