Elton John is dead wrote...

Hmmm...

Yeah races still might not return (what with a voiced protagonist providing some limitations) .

I have yet to hear a reason for not using the same voice for different races/origins.

Morrigan's hair without modding it. Seriously, is that too much to ask?

Well each race sounds different. Dwarves seem to have american accents and deep voices. Elves now have Irish accents while City elves have american accents. Both elves have light voices. Kossith have their own voice not matching dwarves and elves. Giving the same voice to all races doesn't seem plausible. I mean there is a difference between a black and white person's voice even if they are both born in England and have the same accent.

Imagine Hawke's voice for a Kossith or an elf.

There you go.

That's the reason.

Still maybe there is a way around it other than using a protagonist who doesn't speak.

Proper tattoos are needed. Not those weird castle shaped ones.

I would like to see more options with the tattoos, and different tattoos. Also, if you equip rings and stuff like that, it would be nice to see them.

as for generic clothing to start, it would be nice to customize that too a bit. I would also like some options with make up for the women, i find them a bit bland...but that's just me. Different beards/ stachs for the men. Hair is always nice to change up too.

I would definitely like to see more tattoo options, and not restricted to the face. Some scar options would be great too.

And...better hairstyles.

During charecter ithe background should not be black. Rather the background be the color of a wall commonly seen as what looks good  black looks washed out in the regular setting.

More hair, more face tattoos, detailed facial and body structure. And everything else everyone else would like.

More of everything like others mentioned. Something akin to Saints Row, EVE Online, APB. Scars, tattoos not limited to the face. For ease of use when picking hair and skin color I would like for them to actually say the word of the color. I would also like to see something similar to Mass Effect where you can put in face codes. Also, I understand scaling can be a problem which is why there are no height and weight modifiers, but if they can't do that then It would be nice to have a muscle definition slider.

Deeper voice for the male protagonist, up to a Raze deep.

Races to come back. If you were raised in the city you would have that accent not a racial one. Voice actor problem solved.

Ability to customize armor/weapons. Sort of like a mod or slot system where you can have an outfit you like and keep it throughout the game, constantly upgrading it.

multiclassing

People already mentioned some of these ofc :)
  • Freckles and less IN YOUR FACE tattoos (for example, a small star under one eye or something)
  • More "modern" looking hair for guys ... I'm just saying I'm a little tired of 85% of male hair looking like Rutger Hauer in Ladyhawke or something xD More of Alistair and Anders type hair, please. And keep in mind that all the male elves except Fenris looked like complete tools. And it's not very cool to make the default hair unavailable unless you play default Hawke. I don't even get the reasoning behind this. That left me approximately five different non-fugly hairs to choose from
  • *** Ability to create a guy who is not seconds away from giving in to roid rage. I'm not saying I want to create the medieval version of Fat Bastard. If I can't play as an elf, I'd like the chance to at least make a guy who has a smaller frame than the one-frame-fits-all body builder male frame. <<< This one's really important to me! I'm a girl who plays as a guy, so it's easy to relate to the smaller-framed fellas.
  • Piercings!
  • Headpieces like Isabela's headpiece
  • Better skin tones. Black Hawke's turn, er, cherry red in the wrong light. And I'd like the chance to make less Western features, too.
I know the devs don't deny us things just to be meanies. But maybe if they see what most people are hoping for, they can funnel their resources towards those things =]

Proper, well-groomed beards, like Duncan's or Garret Hawke's. All of the facial hair is either 'incomplete', or drags down incredibly long like that just stopped giving a s--
...so yes, manly beardery.

Oh wait, and also chest hair because seriously, even Sims 3 is on that ball now and Varric is TOTALLY UPSTAGING US; WE CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN

Also, playable dwarves better be back. And if not, well, the dwarves better be back, and their women NOT in hiding, and we get to go explore MOAR DWARVEN CULTURE ^_^

Something like that would be amazing. I bet it would cost a bomb to do though.

:o I would never get to the actual game. I would just make character after character after character.

The character creator in Smackdown vs Raw was pretty good too. Height, muscle mass, tons of different hairdoes, loads out outfits as well.

I think it might be neat to have the protagonist's stats (customized like DA:O or pre-made like the second Dragon Age) affect the character's fitness appearance.

ex.
-Dexterity/-Strength for +Intellegence (or Mage) would be more thin (or fat, but likely thin).
+Dexterity over the other stats (or Rogue) would be more toned.
+Strength over the other stats (or Warrior) would be more stocky and muscle-bound.

If we get to distribute points, the stockiness would have Strength as its determining factor and Dexterity as the "toned muscle" factor (whereas "toned" doesn't mean muscle-bound like a weightlifter).
