How do you want romance to proceed in the next game? If possible, who do you want to bring back from the previous game?

The 2 characters I'm looking forward to the most if available as LIs are:
Cullen
Cassandra

Cullen:

Both of these characters have respectable fanbase, and I feel like they could make pretty interesting love interests. Cullen is a templar who sided against his own commander. We don't know his fate yet, but I believe there would be repercussion for siding with the mages. Furthermore, we don't know what will happen to rogue templar if he were to leave the Chantry since they control the lyrium flow in Thedas. There are many possibilities they could do with him.

Cassandra:

Cassandra is hot-headed and a very straight-forward character. She seems to be the no BS type of gal. She seems to be set on finding the location of the warden and the champion. She could potentially play a big part in this game.

Regarding previous LIs:

I hope they don't bring back any dead LIs, or at least just a cameo. Anders and Leliana suddenly survived their death just seem out of place.

I kinda hope that the characters we romance in the previous games would at least make some reference to it if they do make a cameo appearance. I like it a lot when Alistair and Leliana talked about the Warden if they were romanced.

LIs interactions:

DAO pays a lot of attentions to LIs intereactions. They could get jealous if you romance someone else, force you to choose, PDA, and characters around you acknowledging the relationship. It's interactions like this that make the game fun. There weren't a lot of intereactions between your LI and you in DA2, but I like it when you have special conversations with your LIs in DLC.

Pontential LIs:

How do you feel about LIs of different races?

Kossith
Human
Elf
Dwarf
Demon

I'm pretty sure there will be elf and human LIs, but I wonder how many would be interested in a dwarf one? I'm not a big fan of dwarves, but I heard Varric has a cult following. :P

Female Dwarf/Kossith = yes since it's new and we've never had it before.

Also, YES to a male pride demon. Proof that size matters.

Demon doesn't really count as a race man. They're reflections of the human psyche.

1. I expect anyone my previous protagonist romanced to be perma-locked out

2. I want promiscuity to make a roaring return.

3. I want deeper commitment (ie: marriage) from LI

4. I want to live together

5. I want to be able to talk about kids and such even if the action is never executed.

I think they meant they want consequences/love triangles.

really want a super serious/stoic guy as a love interest. Kinda like Sten.

In DA2, you will have a lock-in moment once your character move-in. In Mass Effect 3, it will lock-in once you confess your love. I kinda want the love triangle thing they have in ME1 and DAO. Leliana and Morrigan are pretty catty while fighting over the Warden.

Da2, you can only be with one person :(

That's polyamory, not promiscuity. Jade Empire was the only bioware game to ever do that.

It's only polyamory if they know about each other.I'm not asking for a 3 person relationship, I just want to be able to cheat again while in a relationship. =]

I'm surprised the romance talk has started so soon. Wait, actually I'm not.

DA3's quality is the only thing I'm concerned about right now. Fanservice, while fine and dandy, won't mean anything if the base game is bad.

For starters, how about a return to more normal LI's? And more self-confident males, while we're at it. Women got a raw deal in DA2, what with both males needing serious counseling and/or shock therapy.

This game better have at least one 3 way in it, with a preference toward some DAO Four Way. Capitalized.

Return implying that there were ever any normal LI in the game. Alistair is far from confident and will avoid responsibility if possible, Zevran is a ruthless killer who has a fetish for leather, Morrigan is a sadistic witch without any moral, Lelianna hears voices in her head and an assassin who pretend to be a sister. I don't even have to mention anyone in DA2. LIs in DA series ALL have serious issues.

I love the mess-up LIs in DA series.

It takes rather a lot of self-confidence to stir up revolutionary sentiment in inflammatory pamphlets, then blow up a civic building and ignite a war.

Forever no to "normal" LIs in BioWare games.

I think what Reaverwind means is that both Anders and Fenris seemed to be grasping at straws in their relationship with Hawke, rather than being someone who actually admired and enjoyed the company of him/her.

They were both looking for security. A protector from the templars/slavers. A slice of normalcy in their generally crazy histories. Anders especially really wanted to be in love because he'd always been forbidden it in the past.

... not exactly complimentary, or the foundation for a super-healthy relationship. It'd be nice to romance someone who is a complete and secure person before they begin flirting with you. Someone who gives you some relief from the drama rather than piling it on.

I did say more normal. :P Sure, Alistair was written too much as a bumbling teen, Zev was ruthless killer, Morrigan was a shrew, and Leliana needed to lay off the spiked cool-aid, but they were sane, and more importantly, sometimes funny. The LI's in DA2 were anything but.

I'd definately love to see Cassandra. After playing DA2 and watching the anime I've really been wanting to interact with her more directly. And no...I don't mean like that...pervs. Ok.....MAYBE like that.
