I want a bad boy.
Give me someone who's sexy, mysterious, and bad ass.
He never plays by the rules does what he wants all the time and he has a dark past.

I don't know, there's something about me and bad boys. :pinched:

I'd rather have this.

For starters, how about a return to more normal LI's? And more self-confident males, while we're at it. Women got a raw deal in DA2, what with both males needing serious counseling and/or shock therapy.

It takes rather a lot of self-confidence to stir up revolutionary sentiment in inflammatory pamphlets, then blow up a civic building and ignite a war.

Forever no to "normal" LIs in BioWare games.

I think what Reaverwind means is that both Anders and Fenris seemed to be grasping at straws in their relationship with Hawke, rather than being someone who actually admired and enjoyed the company of him/her.

They were both looking for security. A protector from the templars/slavers. A slice of normalcy in their generally crazy histories. Anders especially really wanted to be in love because he'd always been forbidden it in the past.

... not exactly complimentary, or the foundation for a super-healthy relationship. It'd be nice to romance someone who is a complete and secure person before they begin flirting with you. Someone who gives you some relief from the drama rather than piling it on.

brushyourteeth, yes. Just... yes, to everything you wrote. I couldn't have put it better myself. This was my main problem with the DA2 male LIs, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggled with it.

So I second all of that; I really want a male LI who is comfortable enough in who he is (whoever that is) before he starts getting into a romance with my PC. That's all.

3 things:

1) IF they go back to the origins route (2 straight, 2 bisexual) they HAVE to add 2 homosexual ones.
2) more like an extension of 1 but add a couple of non-party LIs.
3) I would like a female warrior who is a brute on the battlefield but gentle in the bedroom.

I hope not though since between Sebastian's douchiness, Fenris' mage-hating, and Ander's templar-hating, Ander is the only who I like. There are so many different personalities in Dragon Age that it would limit the choices in selecting LIs. While I love the romantic interactions in DAO, I don't like the LIs' limitation. Morrigan/Alistair romance have direct consequence to the storyline while Leliana/Zevran have nothing to do with the plot and can be killed at any point. Dragon Age Origins makes the straight romance as the priority with Alistair being the king of Ferelden and Morrigan bearing an Old God. I don't know. I appreciate Bioware allowing S/S romance in Dragon Age Origins, but I feel very leftout. This is just me pouting, not complaining. I'm not faulting Bioware because even allowing s/s romance is very progressive in the first place. There are barely any RPG which featured same gender interactions. I personally prefer the bisexual option unless they could give the S/S LIs more important roles. Both Leliana and Zevran are promiscuous are not a good representation for bisexual people. I like DA2 because it allows you to shape your RPG experience. ATM, we can only speculate though. To be honest, if Cassandra and Cullen are available for S/S romance, I don't care about the rest though.

All those anime links made me cringe. I really don't want any guys who look like they're in their teens to be my love interest. Really, I'd be more busy smacking the gun and cigarette out of the boy's mouth and lecturing them on how smoking is bad and how you should not hold a ****ing gun to your face than actually fawning over them.

I want emotional punch. Happiness, tragedy, screaming at my monitor when pixelated boyfriend commits acts of terrorism, it's all good. Part of what I love about the Dragon Age romances is how they can (and sometimes do) end really, really badly, and have pretty dramatic ups and downs.

Can I has my kossith please? A stoic guy. Like Sten. I love Sten. But Sten shouldn't be an LI 'cause that doesn't fit his character, so it should be another stoic kossith instead. And I'd love if he was a softie from the inside. Peeps like Cullen so he should definitely be an LI too, if only because it'd please a huge group of fangirls.

That said, I'm really hoping the romance arcs will fit the character, and the romances are vastly different from each other. And as some people have said, I would love it if we had at least one stable LI.

Also, I like the all-bi thing. Keep it~

Dear BioWare, focus on the story and gameplay.
Thanks.

PS: Okay, okay... and throw some Kossith lovin' in there while you're at it. Why should Saemus get all the fun?

I only expect both the male and female lead LIs to be bisexual, well integrated to the plot and with a lot of interactions, I don't care about the rest of the romance related things and even less for supposedly "straight" chars.

I want Carver, but don't expect much more than a cameo (if I'm lucky) or some background mention of the sibling and Hawke. But I also agree that I want someone who's confident and self-assured, and not totally beleagured by their problems. A Qunari would be nice, too.

x 2. In BG2 the moment when the winged elf girl told my PC that she was pregnant was awesome. Moar of those!

I don't expect anything more developed than a budding romance in one single episode of Dragon Age.

It depends if they bring back the warden or champion in that case would wantto continue existing Li

If not some strong females based on Ashley Miranda Triss Merigold  from the Witcher  Tallis

I am also in favor of the "locked in " romance state

Yes to all of these.
I'd love to be able to at least talk about the future (marriage, kids...etc.) with them, even if their reaction is horrified shock. Image IPB

Kids?  Really?  This is a Bioware game, not the Sims.  I don't want children in my RPG.  I just don't get this attachment some people seem to have with marriage + children = happy ending, like if there are no kids or no wedding ceremony, the game is lacking something.

I want better romance scenes, not this sad attempt at professional wrestling in the bed. I want something from Mass Effect One.
