I agree with some of the comments about having the male romance (with the female) take more lead. Don't make him a tyrant, brute or be like Anders or Fenris...needy. I still find I liked Alistair's charming sweetness the best. But having a male romanceable toon with more 'steel' to him would be nice. I found that Cullin was a sweetheart but seemed have some 'steel' and grit in there.

Don't change the female character into a mushy, gushy personality to fit the steel of her man.  Keep her strong but just make the male romanceable toons with more grit, meaning more 'steely.

I know in real life I lavish the moments when my man's "steel' comes to the rescue in the moment I need it.  (Meaning likeI am  just having a bad day and I feel 'needy' at that moment in time.  Or when I can't make a decision when things get tough...my man helps me out with suggestions.   Or when it seems everthing is raining down on me like cats and dogs he takes the lead and guides me to more solid ground.)

Return implying that there were ever any normal LI in the game. Alistair is far from confident and will avoid responsibility if possible, Zevran is a ruthless killer who has a fetish for leather, Morrigan is a sadistic witch without any moral, Lelianna hears voices in her head and an assassin who pretend to be a sister. I don't even have to mention anyone in DA2. LIs in DA series ALL have serious issues.

I did say more normal.  Sure, Alistair was written too much as a bumbling teen, Zev was ruthless killer, Morrigan was a shrew, and Leliana needed to lay off the spiked cool-aid, but they were sane, and more importantly, sometimes funny. The LI's in DA2 were anything but.

I dunno about all the love interests in DA2 being nuts. Merril, Anders, and Fenris do have a major "save me" vibe, and Isabela has some of that, but she also seems to grow into the relationship a bit more than the others. Isabela's (on friendship) was more like her realizing she actually loved the PC (didn't just want sex), and that the PC actually made her a better person in the process.

Cullen, is almost a given at this point, given how much he's been begged for since DA:O, the fleshing out of his character in DA2 also seems to support this.

Cassandra seems potential, but I must admit, I can think of more appealing women to me. That being said, I wouldn't say no to seeing her naked.

That being said, I'd kill for a male Morrigan-esque type character. Dark, sultry, little wild and demonic and sexy.

Zevran was like 'I'M ALL YOURS, MI AMORE~' sexy. I want 'come hither... if you dare...' sexy.
