I would like to just go to a inn and get smash faced drunk and have some special dialogue for my drunk PC - something that you as a player is not completely in control off because ..well the character is not in control..and i would like this action to have repercussions down the line (positive or negative).
What you'd like for NON-combat in Inquisition?

Conversation battles like Human Revolutions had would be cool.
I'd also like to see some sort of job system similar to what Fable 2 and 3 had as a way to earn money. Or if that's too out there, maybe somthing as simple as cutting wood like Skyrim has.
A crafting system that lets you create your own weapons and armour rather than just potions and runes would also be pretty cool.

If this game takes place during the Mage/Templar conflict, I want my choices to be more grey. Instead of the black and white choices in other games I want to stop and think before I make a choice.

I'm pretty much in agreement with everything in this thread. I'd like to add that I hope that non-combat stuff make up a major portion of the game, and not just the tiny bit that it normally seems to.
Also, puzzles. Lots and lots of puzzles.

I would like side quests to even get a specialization. No unlocking it on the first game play and have it available all the time. See it for what it can do, and do a side quest to get it, or depending on the faction in the war, some specializations only available by joining that faction.
Example: Can only become a templar by siding with them. Can only become an assassin by joining/training with the Antivan Crows, or by going on an assassination side quest. Can only become an Arcane Warrior if someone from the original Warden's party is in it, as they may know how to become one. Can only become a blood mage by either joining mage faction in the war and learning from a mage, or making a deal with a demon.

I guess the ability to literally BS your way out of a fight and earn rewards for doing so. Like Alpha Protocol with its perk system.
Seriously, I love that crappy, bug ridden game.
Your not the only one. I beat Alpha Protocol like 4 or 5 times. I loved it.

Please...please no puzzles. But if you must include puzzles make them easy. Portal made me feel dumb...
