Nose bridge is fine.

Problem is the forehead wasn't flat in our elves, it was protruding outwards as shown here:

I think Nyoka hit the nail on the head.

As long as their foreheads aren't overly protrusive like they were in DA2, they would look better.

Athenril is one of the few elves whose nose isn´t an straight line with their foreheads (I think Merrill was another), so she looks better than the others. Still screwed up with the chin slider, but that´s not just an elven problem in DA2.

I don't think they should completely redesign the elves. I certainly think the DA2 elves could use improvement though. The thing I liked about DA2 elves is that I felt it was something i'd only see in DA. Also, I think Merrill looked better in DA2 than she did in DA:O and I liked the way Tallis looked as well.

The usual DA2 fans throw in their usual support for the redesigned DA2 elves.

I don't think that is significant.

If the developers haven't redesigned the elves again, for DA3, then I strongly suspect there is no hope for DA3 or Bioware.

I think they should just go back to being humans with pointy ears.

Why should they be any different? An elf is an elf, no sense in trying to make them look all ugly. Unless you really hate elves or something.

Lulzies yes, because that is what developer success is based on.

Originality in fantasy games is so overdone, its practically a trope. They should try being unoriginal for a change and push out carbon copies of what we've all seen a thousand times before. /sarcasm

Magic, swords, daggers, etc are so overdone in fantasy settings, they should be original and let us blow spit wads at our enemies instead of a carbon copy of everything we've seen before! Dragons are so overdone in fantasy settings and they always look like giant spiky lizards with wings, they should redesign them to look like giant human toddlers with cone shaped heads instead if a carbon copy of what we've already seen! Seriously it's ridiculous to just pull some ugly nonsense out of your butt so you can be uneek and speshul.

Elves are elves, whether they are just humans with pointy ears or actually have a unique look. So I don't care.

Agreed. The only thing that should be constant is their culture and history which is well established.

They can make the elves plenty original without making them all ugly.

Actually I am a fan of  DA2 and I still think the Elves were awful. If they keep the design in DA3 (which I assume they will), it wont prevent me from enjoying the game - but I will be annoyed.Posted Image

There is a drawing of a elf on Isabela's ship in the comics.

I don't want the elves to go back to looking like the cliche elven look that people are used to in fantasy. Although I think they need to stop giving all elves one type of voice. An accent is developed from where you grow up, so the city elves should've sounded a lot different to the dalish elves because of the different environment.
I still think the dalish elves should sound like pikies(the pikie voices from Snatch). Cause from Origins we've heard that everyone is either afraid of them or hates them. For some reason this line of thought disappears in DA2...I wonder why :/.

Elves are the bottom of the food chain in DA. If Fereldans are starving Elves are dying of hunger. Look at many places in Africa and see how they are not much more than painted bones. Elves that eat, like Meriel will be pretty. I think they captured that in the design. Not sure what the weird swimsuit underthings were about, that was my main problem. I liked the design idea. Remember that a new graphics engine will make extreme changes. Hopefully they will get rid of the emos

I hope they go back to DA:O's elves. DA2's looked like a weird mashup of Tolkien elves and cat people. DA:O's were an inversion of typical fantasy elves, and I liked that.

If they don't go back to DA:O's, I'd prefer them to just go full Tolkien elves and drop the cat design from them. I fear that a compromise between the two different elves will just be shorter DA2 elves, and that would suck.

Um, all DA2 elves have the same builds, there is no well fed vs starved. All DA2 elves have a toothpick narrow frame yet their bones do not show. The design for female elves doesn't make any sense biologically, and male elves just look like 10 year old human boys with ugly faces .

No two games depict dragons in the exact same way, nor do any two games use the same look for magic or weapons. Yet literally hundreds of fantasy games depict elves in exactly the same way, they look exactly like humans, except slightly shorter and with pointy ears. Your argument falls completely flat.

Ugly to you maybe, a lot of people clearly like the new elves.
