I'd like them to look more like "knife-ears" not "sword-ears"

Yes they should re-model them and this is great.
(Also just me or does anyone else kinda wish the Dalish armor in Origins looked THAT good)

I'm not the only one who was creeped out by tallis was I?
She was almost there, they just didn't shape the chin to match the rest of the elfy changes to felicia day's face, so it looked off.
Also, I like the redesign, but it does need tweaking. Just a little, though, and background characters need some more work.

Yes I think they should. Merril looked alright imo but most of the others kinda creeped me out. Like that one elven girl you could let work in your house.
To be honest, you could do the exact same thing in origins with the char. creator. they just put on too much makeup and upped the face gaunt waaaay too much.

I love it. They look much better while still retaining the unique elven look! Bioware, pay attention to this!
Unique Elven Look? Where??!?!?
I think he means those humans with the pointy ears. Not entirely sure.
Seriously, this guy

Looks more like an elf than those elves do. And he's supposed to be a human.
Elves from DA:O were bad, humans with pointy ears. DA2 was somewhat better, as at least they became physically distinct from humans. Personally I don't have any preference for Tolkien or D&D elves, so it doesn't bother me what direction they take elves so long as they aren't simply humans with pointy ears.

Seriously people that think short humans with pointy ears are better elves than the more distinct elves in DA2 are fools. While some of the elves looked ugly they could do a good job and I think they'll do a good job in 3. Orsino and Merril were fantastic looking and they were distinctly elven.

Yes, go back to DAO elves, easy and safe fix.
DAO concept art elves, NOT the hideous in game elves whom in my opinion look a completely different type of horrible than the DA2 elves.

I could keep going but I think these get my point across.

Humans with pointy ears being called elves = Bad

Saying they needs some tweaks is alright (because they do) but wanting them to look human because you want pretty people is not a legitimate reason.
If the choice is between unmodified da2 elves and origins elves. I'd have to choose da2 they look less boring.

BUT CAN'T YOU SEE THE POINTY EARS? That's all it takes.

Its not that I find them "not attractive", its the fact that I find them revolting. Just my view of them, of course.

I'd choose turian-like beings calling themselves elves over humans with pointy ears. DA:O elves weren't a different species any more than asian, white, hispanic, and black people are different species. Infertility and having recessive traits do not equal a new species.

I agree. But my point still stands. I prefer Origins Elves to DA2's regardless of how well done they are.
