From what I heard DA2 was terrible (simplified gameplay, characters that died aren't dead, recycled dungeons, bad story and characters) and even though it's developed by a different studio it's still Bioware and ME3 was also a step in the wrong direction so that 2 strikes for Bioware overall.
The me team siad they were listening to the community for feedback. Well, we all know what happened in march, is this going to happen too?

Good god I hope not.
That would be the final nail in the coffin for BioWare.

David Gaider is not Mac Walters
also, the DA2 ending is not that bad, the gameplay and story narrative is.

I`d rather want a cliffhanger than a bad ending, though.

If I recall correctly, they said "We never said Dragon Age was a trilogy".

Well, DA2's ending was probably the worst-written ending I've seen to an RPG, but to be fair, it kind of felt like an incredibly shaky tower of teetering china plates finally toppling over. As terrible as it was, a LOT of what made it so bad was just kind of the natural result of a badly-paced narrative that clearly never had any real idea of what it wanted to do or say and had used up the only antagonist it had explored in any depth during its second act. Would it have been good if it had been better led up to? Well, probably not, I guess, since a lot of it just WAS really horrible writing, but still, the game's story had enough flaws in its telling that DA2's ending was inevitable in its disaster.
ME3, on the other hand, was like the exact opposite thing. Nearly everything in the game was leading to an incredibly excellent conclusion; all Bioware had to do was pull one of their standard endings (KotOR1, DA1, ME1, even ME2 to an extent) out and it'd fit like a glove. And then they came out with something so completely opposite to every significant theme, premise, and essence of the entire series, something so absurdly stupid and short-sighted, so entirely out of left field and disrespectful of every moment that had led to it, that it just blindsided us.
So as long as they have a narrative coherent and focused enough that it can lead properly into a conclusion, and as long as they don't decide to completely sacrifice their art's integrity in order to do something "unique" instead of something that actually makes sense in context with the game, they've got every chance of having DA3 end well.
...But that said, I'm not going to bet on that hope and buy it, not until I've heard from reputable sources below the EA Bribe Radar that it is, indeed, worthwhile. I've learned my lesson.

Hopefully the Inquisition won't be so narrowly funneled that you only get two very similar outcomes. And bring back the slideshow at the end that talks about the future of characters we meet on the journey damn it!

If you can discuss this topic without the freaking out and the memes, please start a new thread. The game has JUST been announced. Like BioWAre's other game releases, more information will come later on. Some of it you will like, and some of it you won't. That's life.
Fan feedback for DA3 must necessarily be filtered through the DA team's own goals and desires for the game. Thank you.
End of line.
