M/M romance thread.

Note; this thread is not about the legitmacy of homosexuality, its inclusion in game, how being hit on makes you feel, or whatever. It's pretty much a given that homosexuality will be in DA3. How you want it treated and how the relationships will work is a matter that can be talked about too, but keep that fun topic to a minimum.
Back on track; I want a badass. A grizzled Dalish hunter that has a checkered past with humans, a disgraced Dwarven warrior carrying a deathwish, a crass mercenary, basically someone that just doesn't give a #$%& anymore. All these melodramatic backstories of love and trauma are starting to rub me the wrong way.
So....thoughts?

You could say Zevran filled that in DAO but...he's a pretty nice person so...ha.
I'd like someone with Sebastian's backround to be an m/m romance...
Totally not because he wasn't available in DA2...really.

Also this. He'd need to have facial hair, too. No pretty boys, elves, or anything stereotypical. I'd just like a grizzled man who can fall in love with the male PC.

I actually really like that disgraced Dwarf idea. I'd like him to be a snarky "jerk with a heart of gold" rogue who, maybe, was kicked out of his house for being such a scoundrel? Has kleptomania, which would be brought up for funny party banter, and would end up stealing a gift just for a romanced PC. [/quote]
...Zevran?

Knight-Captain Cullen.
I know, I know...not bloody likely. He's a Templar. He's not even allowed to frolic with someone of the female persuasion let alone even think for a moment there's an opportunity for him to switch-hit.
But boy howdy think of the shock value if the writers could pull this off. It would be the ultimate conquest for male protagonists, as if to say, "You, too, can be had."
But I guess we'll find out once the game goes live if there's an achievement for breaking Cullen's vow of celibacy.
The suspense is unbearable.
I hope it lasts.

- Kaidan in DA version (except this time he's Gay not Bi)
- Good heart and strong one ,but he has some background that make him weak at some point. And this story only come out if We romance him.
Just don't make him do the bad thing (and We can't stop him) like Ander in DA2

...Zevran?
Zevran never went out of his way to actively insult or angrily berate someone. Then again, I haven't played DA:O in ages. I guess snarky wasn't the right word...Irate, maybe? Almost Morrigan-like. Very arrogant and likes to deflate others (snarkily, with large words) to hide his own insecurities.
Edit: Nevermind

That voice... Those eyes... That hair...
*wistful sigh*
I know it will probably never happen because he's a celibate, religious fanatic but I can dream, right??
I think Leliana said it best: "forbidden fruit is sweeter, no?"

If he's not available then give us someone like Kaidan or Alistair for DA3. gaymers don't have a lot of good selections of LIs. Zevran is too promiscuous and doesn't care about who he sleeps with. Cortez keeps crying about his husband. We really need better LIs.

I didn't know having sex with many people made you a bad gay. I'll have to work on that. As far as we know Zevran didn't do anything with anyone while he was traveling with the Warden and definitely not while he was in romance. If you chose the Ultimate sacrifice, his refusal of Isabela 7 years after the Wardens death implies that he hasn't had sex since. Did...did you complete the Zevran romance or...
Yup, Losing someone you love isn't that big of a deal. He should just get over it real fast so Shep wont have to deal with it. But I mean it's not like he has sex with everyone and doesn't care who or what they are, Right?!
But you want the Templar that went on a spree and murdered a bunch of mages at the end of Origins, and faced no consequences for it to be a LI...okay.

I want at least one "manly" guy and one "cute" guy. That way I can pick, and I can also create my PC with each of those guys in mind. And the "cute" guy can still be a bad ass; i.e. Fenris. So basically I'd like one elf and maybe one human.
But oh, I'd also love a kossith. MMMMMMMMMM... manly kossith lovuh for my PC.
So I want Cullen, macho guy, cute guy, kossith.
BW make it happen.

Fellow BSN member AndreasShepard created this amazing DA/ME crossover with a certain Alliance Commander as a Grey Warden and a certain Biotic Major as a mage. Hey, at this point anything is possible in Dragon Age III: Inquistion, right? Anyway, if you like this just fire off a quick note and let Andreas know!

Someone like Kaidan for DA3 would be awesome. I would love a mage Kaidan, as long as he doesn't blow up any building.

I... would rather DA3 not go in this direction? D:
It's a lovely fanart, but my preference would be to see entirely new characters in DA3 than crossover charactrs from the MEU. ;-;
Played ME already, don't need to see these guys again. XD Especially not in the party. Just my personal preference though.

Anyone remember when the companion romance threads started on the previous DA forums?
@MorningBird - I hear you. There's no way a crossover like that would ever happen but that's not to say that there might be an easter egg reference or two...

If the standard rules of forum subject creation are still in effect, there should be a seperate section for companion romance threads 6-9 months before the game is released. By that time we should have a clearer picture of who will be part of DA3.

Go to the DA2 forum specifically for companions and look at the first page...seems the best place to start.

Anyway, Cullen would work (as many people have suggested). I'm not so hot on the idea of romancing him with a female, but I could totally get behind it for a male PC.

My favorite types of M/M relationships are ones where one person is the badass that looks out for the other guy who's more vulnerable, so I would like both types of characters to suit whichever type I'm playing as. (depending on if I make a more aggressive or more passive character.) DA2 actually DID do this with Anders (the meek one) and Fenris (the aggressive one) unfortunately neither of their romances appealed to me that much.
I also agree that we need non-mage humans to romance. You don't have to be a mage or an elf to be gay.
EDIT: Guess I should have read through the whole thread. Didn't realize motomotogirl pretty much said the same thing. >_<
