Yes it's so romantic  I like it when it seems like the LI and your PC shouldn't be together, but they can't help it... they just need each other too much *squee*  Yeah I'm a total scrooge in RL but this kind of thing in games and movies and novels just tickles me pink lol 

I liked the Kaiden romance scene but I have to admit, I would be embarrassed if someone walked in on me playing that scene. So it's a bit much. BUT again I don't mind it; I think it was nicely done. That moment of intimacy should be special, and it was for them. I'd probably lean more towards DA2 though. But just a little more with DA2... not more skin, but more SCENE period. It was just over too fast, I mean, Fenris doesn't even make it into the house lol

Did you play as mShep or fShep when you romance Kaidan? I tried both, but I actually like mShep better. Probably since I'm a guy. There is also a sense that Kaidan seems more dominant in mShep relationship while he was a lot softer toward fShep. It's a bit clearer when Kaidan was the one who push mShep on the bed while it was fShep who pushes him onto the bed.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of DA2 scene. It just cuts suddenly to black. I would like a bit of foreplay or the PC slowly removing cloth. Like I said, I don't even care or need for the scene to be sexual, I want it to be sensual. There's porn and there's artistic. That is why nude pictures of women can either be considered art or porn depending on how they're being depicted.

Definitely mShep  Yeah I did get that Kaiden was the more dominant guy, and it was nice for my Shep because he had to basically save the universe for his day job, but in his cabin, alone with Kaiden, he could relax, and let someone else take control for once. That's why I liked the scene where (if I'm remembering this correctly) Kaiden comes up behind Shep and puts his arms around him. It's like, damn it, Shep just needs to be hugged sometimes lol 

I get what you mean about sensual versus sexual. Well I would say nude pictures of men can also be artistic, but yeah. No ME3 scenes were definitely sensual as opposed to outright porny. And I agree that DA2 fades to black too quickly. Although I think slowly removing clothing would be difficult to do because the clothing is actually just part of the body model.

I still wish that ME3 has allowed the LIs to hang around in your room. Even just having them hang around the room make it feel like they're close together. It's like having Anders and Merrill inside your house. It kinda gives you an incentive to visit your house. I barely visit Shepard's quarter since there is no reason to.

You said you don't like bisexual characters to treat PC differently based on genders, but do you like these sutble differences? I personally feel like there should be sutble differences to make it feel like the LI doesn't just speak to a cardboard. Of course I don't mean for LI to treat female characters as weak. Maybe there is a different dynamics to the relationship.

Maybe removing clothes is out of the question. If possible, have them wear an undershirt and have the PC or LI rip them apart. lol, it's probably cost a lot, so I doubt they will be that specific.

In small instances like this... it is okay. Because while it is okay for Kaiden to "take control" (and I'm not talking about sex, just being a more dominant lover) with a guy, I think it's better to not let him do that to a female PC. I don't think a game should ever promote a female PC being submissive to a male lover (even if that is a player's personal preference).

It's like, okay, we're not supposed to fetishize the LIs, sure. But we are supposed to enjoy them, right? I mean, they are romances. You are supposed to get warm squishy feelings of happiness. There is surely a not-so-fine line between "warm and squishy and squee-worthy" and "damn I gotta get my rocks off to the pixelated hotties goin' at it," you know?

Writing an entire character not because of its personality and what he could bring on the table, but simply because people find that character hot is really, really boring. And to say that a sizeable number of Kossith threads aren't asking solely because they're tall and strong and muscular is to fool oneself, I think.

Yeah, I know I'm a total 1000% prude (I finally got through it, and was like, oh....wow....you are so prudish), but I've heard of (and dear, god, SEEN) things like Naked Bodies and whatnots, and people complaining about no boob (which, not a problem on M/M thread, but....still)


I have seen complaints about the sex scenes in DA2 being too "PG" (mostly blaming American discomfort with sex, but they are based in Canada <_<) and always found that to be such a strange complaint for a DA game (and I loves me romances way too much)

Hey, I would complain if I don't see any breasts, too. Women are not the only who have them.

There's nothing wrong with being a prude. Maybe there should be a button to skip the scene if you don't want to see certain part of the scenes. Honestly though, I believe a lot of the people play both Dragon Age and Witcher. You can't really blame them for wanting to see more Isabela's goods. . They were just getting a bit spoiled. Honestly though, if it gets too explicit, it would kinda ruin the game for me since I don't need to see penetration or private body parts. It would kinda turn into lust and would cheapen the romance completely for me. I love Kaidan's scene in ME3. It's more sensual than sexual. That's how I want romance scene in DA3 to play out, perhaps a bit longer if possible.

I would love a jealous sequence. Too bad, all the games with the jealous sequences are for straight relationships only. It would seem that DA budget is a lot lower than ME considers how often they talk about constraint budget. Hopefully, they have enough for at least 2 romances for M/M. If it's not possible, I want the one romance to be the "main" romance in which it's important to the storyline similar to how Alistair and Morrigan are.

I think I want vital as in affecting the main plot. Everything you do in Dragon Age Origins is to put Alistair on the throne (or taking the throne from him and giving it to Anora). I don't even need to mention the important of Morrigan. I'm just talking about if there is only one LI for M/M, I want it to be more important to the plot instead of non-related characters like Zevran/Lelianna.

Actually, I do it to stop the Blight. Putting Alistair on the throne is a nice, useful thing that rules maybe 1% of how I manage my decisions in Origins.

Just in a particular game. Lelianna wasn't important in DAO. I think David decides to give her a larger role after the first game was finished. Developments change a lot between games. If it wasn't, he wouldn't have let you kill Lelianna. Zevran is not important as in not contributing to the main plot. It's not about him. He was just an assassin comes out of nowhere to kill you, in which you can kill him right after. It's unskippable scene, but the same could be said about the Wynn and Oghren, you would meet them no matter what, but their characters only relate to that particular quest that you're on. I don't mind if there are M/M LIs to not have a large role in the game, but if there's only one character, I just want him to have a bigger effect on the main plot.

I'm talking about plot wise. All the events leading up to Alistair's fight for the throne. I want a LI to have some visibility in the main storyline.
