The M/M LI in this game should be either /or(both should be in it and you should get to chose which one you want to romance) a big strapping butch warrior type whos been with guys and girls befor or some like Alistair who is shy sweet and hasn't been with anyone before. because not all gays come peset sometimes it just the one person regardless of anything else and it needs to be show that being gay is not a big part of personality we come in all shapes sizes and personalities

Maker's blood, just no symbolic statements, please. No "stereotypes" or "avoiding stereotypes" or "representation". A physically attractive (I know, just try) character with an interesting personality, that's all I ask for. I loved Zevran, very much liked Fenris, and I hate when people, gay, straight, or bisexual, project their own insecurities into a game. If you don't like some characters, fine, but don't get neurotic, please. I can't stand Kaidan -- his looks do nothing for me, his voice gets on my nerves, and he's a pathetic whiner -- but I don't go around blaming Bioware for stereotyping.

Whew. Sorry. Rant's over. Anyway, speaking about ME3, the one I really wanted as a LI was Vega. If done right, he could be great. I'd very much like Bioware to try a muscle-packed gay warrior, for a change.

I dunno if I would be able to break my 2/2 for ending up loving my male elves best but if Cole is a "choose your fave sexuality" LI in game he might give an elven companion a run for his money.

Assuming Cole is a romance, I'd eat my hat if he's not open for both genders. If any male LI is going to be straight it's Cullen.

I just want a character with an interesting personal storyline and romance. I'd love a big buff etc warrior, of course, but that won't be enough if his romance is dull or shallow.

This. I would prefer him to be a buff warrior but if he's as intresting as moss on a rock no thank you.

I'm too lazy to read all these posts, but did anyone mention romancing a sarcastic kossith male? (And perhaps a stoic female as a counterpart)?
I'd be completely entertained by this, even is the kossith's jokes are terrible.

As a straight woman, I want a reason to play as a male PC. A really good gay LI would probably do it, one I can't romance as a female character. With the companiona surely there's room for strictly gay and lesbian LIs, too!

I'd like to have a same-sex romance with Cullen! The "I've never thought of another man this way before" angle would be utterly delicious. In DA:O and DA2, the male PC is always given the option to say that kind of thing to Zevran, Anders and Fenris (the "I've never thought about it before" option is always squarely between the "I like men, too" and "No ******!" options.) but we've yet to be given the option to "sway" a love-interest, so to speak. I think that it could be a lot of fun to explore a "I've never felt this way about another man" relationship through Cullen, and knowing Cullen, it would be slow, cautious, bashful and utterly adorable. Given his history, Cullen would be the prefect character to fill this role!

I don't want him to be based off "Agility" or "Roguishness" - and while certainly intelligent, I don't want him to be smug and clever with quick witticisms. I suppose I would prefer him to be a sword and board warrior or two-handed warrior if class had to be picked.

I'd like him to be an honest - decent fella who wouldn't know the first thing about being a well dressed dandy... doesn't mind hauling bales of hay for an honest day of physical labor... knows how to properly hammer a nail - and is more muscular and less lithe...

An outcast among outcasts (even though in Dragon Age being gay is hardly an ostracizing trait it seems).

But also likes to... I dunno... dance or something "disarming" that you wouldn't expect.

Just someone with a little more "depth".

I found Zevran, Anders and Fenris to just be so "obvious" (if not "obviously" gay - then "obviously" capable of being bisexual)

Had Sten, Oghren or even Carver turned out to be gay I would have been more surprised.

Ahhh, yes! That's why Kaidan's face is so damn attractive. True, Luciano is gay himself, and justice has been done by making Kaidan interested in men as well.

Luciano is a macho guy. I remember him from a reality show which aired in 2004. where he broke a poor straight guy's arm in arm wrestling.

Male kossith LI has been my dream since first playing DA2 (I played it before DAO... which only solidified my want xD)

Me too! Especially since I went the rival route. I killed him in the end, and the story felt so tragic, ah it was awesome. I'll probably do it again when making more files for DA3.

OMG lol You love the dramz. I always have to friendmance him. I feel so bad for him, poor sweet man. My rogue was a carefree flirt who, beneath the playboy attitude, nevertheless supported his guy 100%. I will admit that Hawke was a little thin on ethics. But he was a lover!
