I kinda want someone who is a royalty to be romanceable by M/M. Both Alistair and Sebastian are royalty, but both of them are straight. I don't know if being royalty is a requirement for being straight. It would add a bit of diversity to the romance option. Maybe the bastard son of Maric and the elf commander.

I can understand that though. I myself am gay, but I get why they haven't done that. There has to be little royal babies to continue to line. I could see being a male mistress, some royal in history have had male lovers on the side.

Do you think we will have one, two or three options?

I doubt we will have three options. Even with ME3's system homosexual characters only have two options (same as heterosexual characters, with bisexual characters potentially having four options). I'm pretty sure we won't go back to DA: O's single options, or at least I hope we won't

Will we ever get a visit for a Bioware developer? I wonder. It would be nice to have the word Bioware imprinting next to this topic. lol

I would be pretty awesome if David Gaider could make a quick visit here. Hopefully, he doesn't find this thread "concerning" like the Cullen thread (referring to his twitter). lol

I really want for Cullen to be romanceable by S/S. I fond of him ever since the first game. It's not entirely about look either. There is just something very attractive about his shy demeanor. We haven't had a sexually hang-up character yet, so Cullen's romance would definitely be different from the other romances.

Mary Kirby could swoop in too. She wrote my favorite character, Merrill.

I don't like Cullen, so I'm not on board with him as a companion, even less a love interest.

I love Merrill. She's like a little sister to me, more so than Bethany.

Maybe Mary could drop by and say hi sometimes.

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. Greg Ellis had confirmed Cullen's return and with the amount of fans he has, it's highly likely that he will be a companion or even a LI. Fortunately, there should at least be one more LI to choose from. If Cullen is a warrior, the other LI is likely to be a mage or a rogue. I'm leaning more toward a mage at the moment.

I love and occasionally ship all of the writers together, so I got that covered. Sheryl Chee wrote Isabela, Leliana, Wynne DA:O!Cullen and others.

About Cullen... I don't dislike him or anything, but I wish he hadn't found a therapist between DA: O an DA II. Meaning, I think DA:O's paranoic, mage-hater Cullen could make for a very interest and dark romance if the player is a mage. That said, this kind of thing is not everybody's cup of tea, nor do I think is BioWare's, so anything is fine by me!

I think we saw that storyline already, with Fenris.

To throw my two cents in, I wanted to gut him in the first game. He got better in DA2 (one of the very few things that did), so if done well, I could take him, I suppose. Nevertheless, I must say monotheist types generally don't do it for me.

Luke wrote Leliana IIRC.

As for BioWare posts, in a thread like this, it would often be the case that they're coming to lock it, admonish some unfortunate poster, or make a quick remark about something (most likely tangential). So don't be discouraged just because you don't see any logo next to it (and do see the logo next to others).

Whenever a M/M thread comes up, it always gets locked more often than F/F, if ever. People often express their disdain more often toward M/M which leads to arguments. I don't understand why people can't just leave threads they don't care for alone instead of attacking.

So far, there hasn't been anything like that yet, so that could be a good sign. Hopefully, there wasn't be anymore drama. The Baldur's Gate forum's homosexual thread was so much worse. I'm glad the forum over here is being moderate properly.

Well, whenever gays get hate here, the haters always end up losing.

I'm hoping for at least 2 choices, instead of one being gay and one bisexual that changes depending on what my character's gender is.

The devs and mods often deal with the offenders pretty quickly, it's a good thing. At least I can be myself here more. In Diablo forum, people using homophobic slurs constantly and the mods just don't do anything about it.

Dragon Age has 2 male love interests, and they are both bisexual since Fenris slept with Isabela and Anders commented on how he wanted a wife in Awakening. Sometimes, I would like for a character to swing more toward males even if they are bisexual. ME gave us our first gay character, but the game has like 8 LIs for straight males while 2 for gay males, 2 for straight females, and 4 for lesbian females. I kinda want them to divide the numbers a bit more equal if they have a large LI roster. As I only find Kaidan to be attractive, I can only romance him in every of my playthrough. Cortez has his appeals, but he seems more like a friend to me as opposed to a LI .

I only didn't mind that ME3 had a straight male LI not available to BroShep because it was Garrus lol Boring alien guy... nope didn't play ME 1&2 so I'm unable to get the Garrus appeal; I'm sure he's awesome in those other games!

If I ever am able to own the game I will probably romance Cortez once, but it's hard because it feels like he's still in love with Steve (well, he obviously is). It just feels wrong. Also, the way you pick him up in the nightclub just feels a bit... cliche.
