This is a thread in which we can make wild speculations about the plot, so as to keep all the crazy in one nice centralized location.

I predict Morrigan is behind the events of DA4, and we learn in DA3 about Morrigan indirectly, and she's one of a number of important individuals that the main character seeks to investigate, including such figures as the Warden and the Hero of Kirkwall.

Also, we get to command a really cool organization with military forces and spies. AND mages :wizard:

I know that the organization is trying to stop the mage/templar civil war and therefore should be suspicious/cautious of mages, but what kind of special forces fantasy unit doesn't break the rules? Probably a lot like the Grey Wardens, the ends justify the means.

I think you're correct about Morrigan being in future games. I also think Flemeth and Morrigan's son will also play a major part in this Mage/Templar war. Personally I think that Flemeth is the daughter of an old god who wants to control the world again and free mages by opening up the Veil and Fade so they're connected to the natural world but I'm sure that will come up later. I think Morrigan just wants the mages to be free again and she plans to free them with some huge plan with the help of her son and maybe Hawke and The Warden? But who knows...

I think that one day there will be a Templar villain whose such a tight-a** that the contraction of his sphincter will create a magical singularity which will threaten to consume all of Thedas unless an alliance of heroes from various nations can get him to relax. How's that for crazy?

It's not like they can't write it in, but that would go against Morrigan's character.  She isn't the type to help others.  She didn't want to help the mages in the tower, so I doubt she would go out of her way for them.  Though it is possible that, that happens indirectly.  Though I think that her actions will be for selfish reason

Edit:  My theory has been that DA3 is you doing something to do with the war.  It seems like that is true in some ways.  I also think that at some point there will be a plot twist and Morrigan and/or Flemeth appear and DA4 will be about that.

Well ,if the survey leaks are true , the trouble are fade related .
A breach in the fade.
So it can be some renegade mages , but they would have to be really powerful .
And it would pretty much go with crazy mages again , I think we won't have that in DA3 .

Morrigan is a wild card , and Flemeth too.
They know things we don't , and both have an agenda with old gods/dragons.
I doubt they will be villains , ennemies yes , but I'm pretty sure they do not want to destroy Thedas.
So if they did breach the fade , they probably did it for a good reason.

And both were talking about changes to come , honestly I don't think it's about mages and templars war , I think they do not care about that kind of things.
So my guess is the breach may be something "natural" , we know the veil suffered in some places , maybe that's it, the veil is about to break .
I have no idea what something like that could mean for Thedas , but I guess it's not really good.
Maybe our hero will have to find ways to "repair" the veil .

That is true but I think Morrigan will change, she doesn't want to be like her mother adn I think having a child will make her more kind and sympathetic towards others, also she changed when you romanced her,she went from cold to a little more warm so over time I think her character would  change enough to the point that shed help others (including mages) if Flemeth was to do something evil and crazy, but like I said earlier ,who knows what will happen?

I'm like 90% sure Leliana is Andraste, reincarnated or THE Andraste or perhaps THE Andraste and the other Andraste was just a normal person/mage. Would make sense why she's alive no matter what.

I also want to know exactly how Morrigan, Flemeth, and the possible OGB fit in to the plot of the the Templar/Mage war. But I agree with what's been said in that Morrigan's character will evolve and be less influenced by Flemeth. Maybe less so if the DR was refused. I think she'll be the, for lack of a better word, "good" choice if given the option between her and Flemeth.

I think for the endings, we should have 3 options:
1. Destroy the Darkspawns, but everyone who has connection to the fade would be destroy as well like mages.
2. Merge with the Darkspawns: everyone will become half-darkspawn. The darkspawn would then help rebuild the cities after the war instead of destroying it.
3. Control the Darkspawn: You become the archdemon and control all the darkspawns at your whim.
Alternatively, you can just accept that Thedas is doomed and let the darkspawns destroy everything.
