After what happened with Mass Effect 3 I'd rather not.

I'd pre-pre-order, if they'd let me.

not sure i always pre ordered before but that bioware name that use to mean fun quality games does not seem to hold up right now

even after dragon age 2 i would have pre ordered but mass effect 3s ending is beyond bad even with ec so it would be hard to just buy it

I will, unless it is a next gen exclusive. Then I would have to "considering" actually buying one when it comes out. Though DA3 is about the only game that could actually motivate me to do it.

If they offer a deal like, "preorder within this time frame and get all the DLC free for the price of the regular game," then yes I will.

If Claudia Black is CONFIRMED to be the voice actor of Morrigan again, then YES. I will pre-order

Of course not. After ME3's ending, whether I'll even buy DA3 at all is highly uncertain.

I very, very rarely ever pre-order anything. In fact, I think I've only pre-ordered three games ever; Civ 5: Gods & Kings, Orcs Must Die! 2 and Borderlands 2. And I only pre-ordered them because 1) I was 200% sure they would be good games, and 2) they were on special offers on Steam.

So no, I most likely will not be pre-ordering DA3, because I am not even 100% sure the game won't disappoint me like DA2 did, and because I doubt DA3 would see the light of day on Steam, let alone get its own special offer.

Too soon to say, really. My inclination is to say yes, but I'll need to see actual info from the studio as well as previews before I completely make up my mind.

Bioware has different teams. The team that made Mass Effect is different from the one that makes Dragon Age.

at the very least, take that into consideration.

It's a BioWare game.  It will have some major bugs on release and will need DLC to improve its quality.  I'll wait until all the patches are out, pick up the game for cheap, and by that time I'll be able to get the game and ALL the DLC for the same price as everyone who preordered the game and only got the game with just the day 1 DLC.

Lets do a re-cap...

Neverwinter Nights - fans were told flat out that it would continue the BG2 story. I bought it on release. Guess what? it wasn`t true. Strike one

Kotor - Was told all the way that it was a trilogy, and that the Revan story would conclude in the 3rd game. Instead we get an online game set several hundred years later...Strike two

Dragon Age 2 - Told choices would matter. The story would span a decade. Tactical Combat. Didn\\ t happen. Strike three

Mass Effect 3 - Choices would matter. 16 (was it?) different endings. Multiplayer would not affect single player. Strike four.

Naw. Won`t pre-order DA3.

No, and I don't care about the 20 odd bonus DLC that comes with pre-ordering. I need to see if Bioware has fixed the problems I had with DA2 before I buy.

No. I got burned on that with DA2. That won't happen again. I remain ready to be convinced otherwise though.

Pre-order? Not a chance after ME3.

No, if it's any good I'll wait and get it cheap on Ebay, or Steam.

Other than that, I might just not buy the game.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of ME3. Bioware **** slapped me upwards and downwards with that game. As far as I'm concerned, they're in gaming jail. I understand it's not the same dev team, but I wrote a letter to Bioware after seeing the ME3 ending. I told them I would never pre-order one of their games again. I meant it.

I do, however, like the interaction and dedication I'm seeing from the DA:I team on these boards. They seem like good people. I'm more than willing to buy the game. Depending on reviews, that might mean waiting a bit or for a massive sale. It remains to be seen.

Unless they do something ridiculous, yes. But everything I'm hearing sounds like steps in the right direction from DA2, better engine, more customization back, longer dev cycle.

...I guess that's not much to go on. We'll still have to wait and see.

I have.  It's the only reason that there is even a chance that I will buy DA3.

But as someone else has pointed out, it's been Bioware's policy for years now to outright lie about what their product is going to be in the future, so regardless of who's developing DA3, I'm definitely not pre-ordering it.  This time around, for me, they get the sale if they make the product worth buying, no more selling by reputation.
