But to be honest, this is the make or break for me. If DA3 doesn't deliver, it'll take a lot before I start pre-ordering again and buying everything under the sun BioWare puts out.

I liked all of them!
So yeah, automatic pre-order. Bioware will need to start making their games simply unenjoyable to me for that to go away.

like I said before as more and more info is released about the game I will make a new poll.Vicious wrote...
Stupid poll when we know absolutely nothing about the game. I bet as we get closer to release and Bioware releases more info it will change to a resounding yes.
and not even counting the inevitable preorder shinies.

Needless to say, I will not be pre-ordering DA3. I will be waiting at least a week, checking PCGamer (As long as Rich McCormick isn't the reviewer) to see if it's good and then the Metacritic user reviews to see how much people hate it, to decide whether to buy it at full price or wait 3 months until it costs $20

How much would you like to wager on DA 3 getting 70% or more of the same preorders that DA 2 received? I would certainly be interested in putting money on the fact that it will not.

I can't say "if it sounds like DA2, I won't" because although I HATED DA2 on my first play-through (and I did the Collectors Edition Pre-order), it grew on me, and now I think it is a great game in it's own right.

Yeah, I haven't been able to force myself to do another playthrough. I got stuck at the Rock Wraith on Nightmare with my warrior so I rolled a mage and played through with that. Literally have not opened the Warrior file since.
I stopped my Warrior playthrough for two months when I got to the duel with the Arishok. And my specialization was Templar, and my elemental DPS weapons were sitting in my trunk at home base. So, all I could do was strategically plan my potion chugging, run away when he charged at me, and hope to god that he didn't drink a potion when I got him down to 10% health.
Finally killed him though, but I found mages to be much easier to play (by a lot) in DA2

Then there are the variety of horrible decisions BioWare makes, like releasing ME3 on WiiU around the same time ME:T comes out for everything else. Way to stick it to your customers, yeah! Worse is all the Origin stuff. I recently bought an EA game on Steam and they gave Valve faulty Game Keys for the sale. So I tried to get a proper Game Key, and I had to spend *hours* with customer support because they would just refuse to give me support for anything other than Origin. Another way to stick it to fans: force them into playing on a different service than they purchased the game for. Then there was all the data-mining stuff, and the data-mining-before-you-agree-to-the-TOS stuff, and the converting pre-existing DLC to Origin DLC that was unusable unless you switch stuff, and the selling-content-that-was-finished-before-the-game-went-gold-as-DLC stuff... Really, I'm not sure where to stop.
We supported the heck out of DA2 because we "knew" it would be great. We played that horrid FaceBook game, even. All to help them out, and they shipped us a game that was both broken and horrible even if it were fixed. And then there's the claims they're making that the Frostbite Engine enables them to create better impact from choices; how? That comes down to writing and design. Don't try to act like that's something entirely technical!
The most important thing is that ME2, ME3, DA:A, and DA2 have proven to us that BioWare is not capable of creating a game series where players' choices matter to the story. They have never succeeded before despite their multiple attempts, so what would make you think they'll succeed now? No I won't preorder this game. There's no way I'll even buy it. You've already destroyed your franchise, BioWare, so it'd be easier just to make another one.

as long as I can SP and not worry about MP.
the only thing that may keep me from the pre-order is if I have to play MP.. to play the game.
