I'll just buy it at release, just to see if user and critic reviews are stellar or not.

Hell no, Bioware has as much credibility as a crackhead looking for a fix

I will most definitely preorder. I would do it today if I could. I see no reason to doubt Bioware, they have always delivered so far. Sure, I had some big issues with ME3, but it is still one of the best games I have played. Da2 is my all-time favorite game.

Nope. Although a demo (for the PC and actually with non console-port effort in it) might help sway me into the yes camp.

But if there's 217 various pre-order incentives from 70 retailers (numbers obviously random) that chance will bottom out to a 0%. It may even go under 0% and have me sway the group of gamers I play with to not pre-order as well.

Depends. If it looks promising I might, if it doesn't I won't. The game is at least a year away from release, there are no pre-orders available, what could asking this question now possibly amount to? =/

no I won't preorder. Doesn't mean I wont buy it. I am just gonna wait for reviews. if it gets mediocre reviews (like DA2) I'll probably play it a year after release when it is cheaper. If it gets great reviews across the board then Ill be getting it within that week or month and I'll even pay for the "free" pre-order DLC.

I will preorder, as I still have faith in DA devs team. DAII was merely a setback. I believe that people who developed such brilliant thing as DAO+all dlcs for it will do their best.

Already got burned on DA2, so no thank you.

I'm planning to read the USER reviews before I decide to buy. If they are good I will likely buy it soon afterwards without waiting for a sale. If they are bad, and it is described to being similar to DA2 I won't ever get it. Not even if I got paid for it.

I have loved almost all Bioware games, but DA2 was abysmal to me.

They could promise me the moon and I wouldn't pre-order DA3 or any other EA/BW game.

I pre-ordered DA2 despite having an enormous bad feeling about it after everything of what little we had been shown, simply because it was BW/DA. Got burned with a rushed mediocre game that had next to nothing of what I loved about DA:O. Fooled me once.

I pre-ordered ME3 despite DA2, mixed feelings about ME2 and a number of terrible sounding tidbits revealed through the leak to support the overdue inclusion of homosexual characters into the games and because the complet(ion)ist in me couldn't leave the third part of a planned trilogy unbought, even if the final result barely resembled what is known of the original plans. Most of all there is no excuse for that amateurish ending. Fooled me twice.

Almost everything they say about DA3 (other than the voiced PC and the constraints that semi-naturally come with that) sounds great, but even if they actually show proper in-game footage that looks great and offer an enticing demo this time, I can't see myself pre-ordering it.

And I can't even trust my primary (print) review source anymore when it comes to BW, since -- despite all their frequent editorials condemning various practices of big publishers -- they revealed themselves to be spineless ****s in their initial DA2 review (amusing later back-paddling included) and all their featured (largely ignorant) statements about ME3 and its ending debacle.

I'll consult opinions of the select few trustworthy online
reviewers of note and decide then if they'll get an early buy -- or any
purchase at all -- from me.

Complacency and arrogance have recently corrupted the soul of Bioware... as it seems from their recent releases (DA2 and ME3). So, probably I shall not be pre-ordering it unless there are some ground-breaking news (and not rumors). And if it's a multiplayer then HELL no!

I will not judge it based on what others say. My opinion could be different after all. I loved DA2 and then saw the reviews were mostly bad.

Is this even a serious question at this point?

Of course not.

I probably wont even buy the game unless it has above an 8 on metacritic for user reviews.

46% yes
36% no

People just dont learn. DA2 got a ton of sales from preoders, many of whom later came to regret said preorder, including me, after which it dropped rapidly because the game was rather crap and now people are doing it again. Theres no way im preordering or buying anything from bioware unless they re-establish their position as a developer of quality, indepth, single player rpgs and not streamlined dumbed down things Id hardly call rpgs. It doesnt matter how much they promise or hype since bioware cant exactly be trusted anymore. User reviews may change my opinion once the game comes out but im doubtful.

Nope, not preordering.

When I've seen the reviews and seen the fan reaction and maybe played a demo, I will decide. Until then I can only go by what the PR department wants me to know. And, given the recent track record, that's absolutely to little to deserve my blind trust.

The way game content is trending these days, DA3 is probably going to be some stupid co-op or MP-ridden "SP" game with ten whole hours of "story" - if they even remember to do a bad port to PC.

Why would I waste 60/80/100 bucks on that?  That's a week's worth of groceries for me.

No more preorders.  Not from this company.

Even the dullest of wits eventually learns that getting burned over and over is not an experience worth seeking.

Yes, absolutely.  I enjoyed all of the DA games even though 2 was a little lacking in content.

After ME3 ending? I don't think so. Don't want another 6 months in a bad mood, you know.
