Should there be nudity, or no? (The thread that just won't die)

Well should there? Personally I think the previous games did fine without nudity but I wouldn't not buy the game if it had it in there. Do you think Bioware should take the M rating this game is most likely going to have all the way? Or should they again just leave it to our imaginations?

They should have partial nudity.

No, simply because it's not necessary and wouldn't add anything but controversy with all the conservative groups.

Only if they try and make a scene like Samantha Traynor in the shower again. You know if they show something that actually requires nudity to not look stupid.

I don't see why Bioware stopped adding nudity to their game just because FOX news made uptight parents butthurt about it. This is a 17+ game and it should be dealt with that way.
What I don't want to see is the main character being a man**** like in Witcher 2. (Your reward for most things being sex.)

Nudity interfeers with all the decapitations and general murders going on. It offends me when I can`t fully focus on all the blood. if a woman gets shot in the breast, its ok. If I see someone kissing a breast, I get offended (being ironic here).

I don't want to see nudity, but I have no problem with what was done in Mass Effect 1.

In my opinion, full frontal nudity can change the tone of how the gamer may approach it.

Example: Some people approach the Witcher 2 as a porno, with a plot to tie in one sex scene to the next. Many do not, but some do, and they buy the game and play it simply for the nudity.

Only if there is an equal amount of penis. I've seen a lot of boob, while nice, is kind of boring without the whole package.

As long as it is relevant to the story.

This.  Underwear sex in the shower is not cool.

If they have a legit reason for it then idc. Include it., don't include it, whatever. If it's just for the sake of "oh look at da boobies!" Then no.....I don't. As stated by dragonflight228 I thought ME1 was very tasteful, and wouldn't mind something similar to that.

If anything this is definitely why there will probably never be full nudity, at least not in this game. Even now in movies it's such a big deal to show a penis (outside of a Judd Apatow comedy). I don't know why, maybe it makes all those chaste conservative women lose their fath and ruin their good Christianly lives, and we can't have that kind of madness.

I don't think there needs to nudity around every corner but when you walk into a brothel you kinda expect naked people. If it goes with the setting, why not?

I assume you're talking about the love scenes? Nudity is fine so long as it is censored. Of all the recent Bioware RPGs, Mass Effect 1 did it perfectly when it came to the love scenes. Mass Effect 3 I'd put in second with Dragon Age:Origins. Mass Effect 2 I'd put in dead last, but then I haven't played Dragon Age 2.

Of all the concerns I have about DA3, nudity is not in the top 1000.

That said, I preferred the way DA2 handled it to the way (unmodded) DAO handled it. I don't have to see people actually getting busy, but if I am, I don't want to look at undies.

Tasteful nudity, yes.

I could actually point to a few images -- may or may not be NSFW, depending on just where you work -- that have tasteful nudity.

Some of them being more archaic works of art.

Dragon Age 2 had fully clothed people falling onto a bed kissing, then fading to black. The closest to nudity is Hawke in his pants and Merrill wearing some sort of undergarmentthat covers her chest, belly and crotch area.

The Witcher 2 did it pretty well. Most of it was actually optional. If a game is made for adults, it shouldn`t shy away from nudity because someone might be offended by it.

Isabella seemed to dish it out to everyone but my male Hawke...that was kinda frustrating.

But you know, I don't care either way. It's awkward seeing adults jump in the bed with their clothes on. When I think about it though, I'd rather not scar my mind seeing texture jaggies/artifacts in places that will give me nightmares...

Either fade to black or have nudity(you don't even have to show bits). I don't care but please, don't have the sanitised "middle ground" of underwear sex.

Having characters "frotting" each other in their underwear is just stupid.
