IMHO if there are love scenes or other scenes (like say an armory for dressing up in ones armor or something similar) where one is typically naked, then yeah (sorry everything else is just prudish - at least if you do not force the nudity, if it happens naturally like a baby being nude, a person in the shower/bath-room being nude etc. then yes, stop being prudes!)
greetings LAX

I like the nudity first then I did in Skyrim was download the nude mods because Im a grownup and I wanted to play a grownup game. I have also downloaded gore mods, and other mods to make the game more realistic.
no but when I decapitae a man and the neck looks like cartoon ham and a mod makes it better Im going for the realism, when I have to cross a river Im not going to do it in my heavy armor so I take it off and bikinis are a modern invention bras are modern inventions created to conform to a male dominated idealized form of beauty and they have no place in skyrim. I also use basic needs mods, frostfalls hypothermia mods and all for the realism and immersion but you know what feel free to bask in your own self righteous sense of smug up on that cloud you live on where you pass sweeping judgment on people that makes no sense when put into application except to show just how narrowminded and condescending your own world view is. Grow up kid. You bore me.

I don't mind nudity as long as both genders receive the same treatment, and it's tasteful. No long, lingering camera pans from ankle to breasts, for example. Unless they do long, lingering camera pans from ankle to penis. Then it's okay. Equality of gaze, is what I'm after.

So long as both genders get the same treatment, sure. Or better yet, make it optional A toggle. "Show characters naked or DA:O style in their underclothes." Then everyone is happy.

I can mention plenty in both games. I don't understand when M turned into Must Be Completely All the Way Adult. That isn't what the rating is for. M does not mean there is suddenly nudity, or huge gore factor, or plot lines that involve incest, or lots of curse words. So I don't understand it being M is so much a necessary for it to have nudity. It isn't like all games want nudity but the ratings are holding them back.
Almost every time I do see nudity in a video game it still doesn't leave the guy as exposed. Witcher 2 is called realistic, when Geralt is always wearing clothes. If anything it is less realistic. So I also find realism a weak argument.
the devs have said they feel nudity is unneeded and the fade to black makes sense. They want to do it that way. Most things do fade to black because this game is not focused on the sex but on the other elements of the game. They felt that showing full nudity added nothing and felt implying sex was more classy. I certainly don't see how adding nudity at all improves the game. As I have never seen anything lauded as being realistic actually is, and the M rating does not mean everything that can be categorized under M will be there.

Only if they try and make a scene like Samantha Traynor in the shower again. You know if they show something that actually requires nudity to not look stupid.
This is basically the point I would make. Nudity is not nessisary overall, but if they make a scene where logically the character would be nude, don't slap underwear on them and make it awkward. Nobody showers in their underwear. They could of made her nude and still not actually shown "the goods" with proper use of camera angles and cuts. The Liara scene did exactly that and it was flawless. *shrug*
If they don't want to make nude models even just to not show anything, like the Liara scene, then just don't make the scene to begin with. Otherwise it just comes off as odd and perhaps lazy. You don't make a scene sexy by taking half their clothes off and putting them in a situation that suggest all of their clothes should be put of but hey pg-13 yall. Its actually very distracting. (actually pg-13 allows partial nudity so idk what to call that) If you want a "safe" scene, make a safe scene. In this example, maybe just have Traynor talking from behind a closed shower door, where you can hear the water running. You get the information that she's taking a shower without actually seeing it. Easy, safe. Don't make a sexy scene that plays it too safe and costs believability.

^. I love it when people conclude that nudity = maturity.
I'm not talking hardcore nudity just sideviews and all like Mass Effect masterfully handled it and treated people like adults instead of thinking they're retards (who takes a shower in their underwears?? xD)

Only if there is an equal amount of penis. I've seen a lot of boob, while nice, is kind of boring without the whole package.
If anything this is definitely why there will probably never be full nudity, at least not in this game. Even now in movies it's such a big deal to show a penis (outside of a Judd Apatow comedy). I don't know why, maybe it makes all those chaste conservative women lose their fath and ruin their good Christianly lives, and we can't have that kind of madness.
I've only ever played one game with full frontal male nudity in it: Dante's Inferno (if you can find a copy buy it, it rocks), it is done well as the attention is never drawn to it, it;s just, hanging there, there's also some statues etc in the lust circle.
Initally God of War for the PS2 was going to have penis's on things like the Cylcops's, but they jusy couldn't programme them right.
So in short, keep nudity to any sex scene(s) & leave it at that.
Just my thoughts.

It would be interesting to see the response as well, if both genders were equal in their portrayals. How much latent homophobia would be exposed? How many people would rush to their computers to complain about being exposed to a penis? It would be quite the experiment, and might even result in some more empathy for women on the issue.
Loads, is my guess. Just up-thead there's already a "no full frontal male nudity plz - awkward" comment (and to whoever posted that: oh do I have a song for you)
There'd probably be a response similar to the response Nasir/Agron sex scene got in Spartacus' last season: apparently in a show full of over-the-top gore, explicit nudity and 3some/4some sex scenes it's the gay sex scene that is "redundant" and "completely unnecessary".

OH MAN I LAUGHED SO MUCH - That song was perfect. I
I agree with Doc Moustache too. If we catch a character skinny dipping in the Empress' Koi Fountain, then when they get out there should be butt at least.
There was dude butt in Brave, and that was a pixar movie!

I don't need to see everything, but what I see must be plausible. If a scene would realistically require nudity, then show it. Use camera angles that hide the most "unsafe" areas, but otherwise show it.
If you fear the fundamentalists so much, then better not make such scenes at all. But this is going to be an M-rated game or whatever passes for it, so if you don't show a little backbone when making romance scenes I'll lose respect. In fact, I already have lost respect ever since Bioware caved in to Faux News after the hubbub over ME1. I still have fond memories of the ME1 romance scenes. Nothing in DAO, DA2 or the other ME games was quite as good.
