Full nudity doesn't add anything really and it restricts your audience to 18 and up. I'm all for creative camera angles though. As long as nobody is standing in a shower (waterfall for DA I guess) in their undies.

Game is already restricted to audience 18+.

And only way to do it, is full nudity, so we don't have the crap that was in ME3. Witcher 2 is perfect example.

agreed, if you already have a mature rating on your game, go whole hog and do it right.

(thanks to the OP, this has been quite mature actually, appreciate it)

I think the fact that Witcher 2's "Triss is naked but Geralt has sex in knee length shorts" is the ideal for many of the proponents of this and they ignore every single time someone points out the immaturity of that, and the stated equating of nudity = "boobies" (and incidentally, man, there's a mature word!) says about all that needs to be said on the topic.

Namely, they're not looking for maturity, they want to be titillated.

Liara's love scene in ME3 was done really well.

Shepard's underwears ruined the scene. Especially if you're FShepard. Ridiculous.
The love scene in ME1 was far better.

Yes. Exactly. And they got scorn by retarded FOX tv becouse of that. They should just IGNORE them.

Yestrday i was in shower with girl and even though i wasn't completely sober i swear i didn't have any underwear and neither did she.

Don't really mind if there is nudity, partial nudity or underwear, just as long as they are some unique animation and perhaps some dialogue that adds to the emotional link.

Partial, perhaps. But preferaby i don´t want it. First, because attracts some ´pervert minds´ who cares about the sex and not the gameplay. Second, because it seems like ´they need put some nudity to attracts consumers´.(I know it will not be the case if they put nudity scenes, still at these days, the 80% of the games have nudity or partial nudity) Third, because they will not do an equal nudity for both sexs. It will happen like all the games, the woman will be totally naked and the man will have pants.

Honestly... its not "needed" I mean, look at witcher 2 honestyl just some topless scenes and some softcore scenes. could have faided to black and we wouldn't have cared. But now that TW2 has done what it didn't everyones all "this is what it should be"

honestly no, could care less about the sex itself care more about he context.

Actually, most people want it at ME1 levels where there was nudity but it was all tastefully covered so you couldn't actually see the couple naked but could tell that they were.

Word. Nudity (particularly that one special brand of male gaze ogling) =/= maturity.

But if there has to be nudity, let it at least be equal opportunity.

Actually, wasn't there a naked Geralt model in the game used for the sex scenes but that it didn't have a penis on it.?

Bioware doesn't choose the ratings of their games, so that's a silly argument.

I think that these 26 pages of argument can be summarized with a very simple conclusion:

Nudity shouldn't be much of a fuss in general, wheter the topic is its inclusion OR exclusion from a game.

Explanation: if nudity is there because it needs to be there (for example, to make a sex scene less ludicrous) it's okay, but since it has to be functional, there's no reason why males cannot be naked if women are. If nudity is there to titillate male gamers, then as a matter of fact that's deadly wrong and there's no arguing or denying that.

If Gaider or Bioware do not want nudity because that's their moral stance on the subject that's something I can get behind  though. It's their game and they have already proven their moral viewpoint valid more than once. Let there be undies.

But, BioWare chooses what to put in the game, and that can determine the rating. The entire Dragon Age and Mass Effect series would be T for Teen if not for the profanity and violence that already is in these games. That would make these franchises entirely different from what they are now.

If the games already receive a "restricted audience" rating based on those two factors, then adding explicit nudity might push the ESRB to refuse them a rating at all.

Yes. If, as a moral standpoint, Bioware does NOT want nudity in their games but sequences like sex scenes have to be included, then creative camera angles and "almost naked" models (like Liara in ME3) are probably the way to go to avoid the quirky "in the shower with undies" scene with Traynor.

Also, please, stop talking about Witcher 2. I know that's probably one of the few examples of nudity in videogames, but that game is deadly offensive with its "males in undies but girls are naked" approach.

I think the least that people want, when it comes to this, is no underwear sex. These scenes can be faded out, full-on, or whatever. As long as that's gone, me (and probably most other people) will be happy with whatever else BioWare does.

Honestly I think something like the romance scenes in ME1 would be just fine. Dat awkward moment when you shower in your underwear:

First, unless Geralt is actually a eunuch, that's not making it better.  We've got people in here complaning that Liara's naked model didn't have nipples, when you weren't even supposed to be able to see whether they were there or not.  "But he was naked, he just doesn't have a dick!" isn't a defense.  Second, you tell me what this looks like.

All I know is I better see a penis for every pair of boobs. ;)

j/k, I don't see it as an issue. Nudity is not something I really care about, even fade to black scene in DA2 would have been enough. They probably should just have ken and barbie model using camera trick to hide the private parts if they decide to show the sex scenes.

fox wouldn't even talk about it now because so much has happened since ME1 was released also they really don't care about fox news it gets them attention if anything. and how many people that would play it wouldn't play it because of fox news saying it corrupts our youth even though it is rated M so kids aren't allowed to buy them without an adult

The funny thing is the last time a video game had nudity or "Sex" or **** in it and I remember Fox News talking about it it was either Bret Baer or Shephard Smith that basically said:
"Wait, isn't this game for people over 17?  WHY are kids able to buy this is a better question and where are the parents?"

If it is ME1 style nudity then sure, if it is Witcher 2 then no thanks. I dont need HBO style sex scenes to get off, I want story telling and tasteful romances. ME1's sex scene was perfect, sadly it went downhill after that.
