Sorry but in what the hooker cinthya and succubus scene was not tastefull?

The hookers one: Well they are hooker what do you explect sweer romantic lovemaking?

The succubus: She is a succubus al she care is drain energy from sexual act..

Cinthya and Filippa: Cinthya was using seduction with Filippa because worked as a spy.. And Filippa as a character have a kinky attitude is part of her character...

She is a dominant woman...

All sex scenes in your opinion must be sweet sensual lovemaking?....

I say no... I respect your opinion but sex is not alway a sweet sensual love making......

The problem is that some people don't like getting horny playing video games. I don't get horny seeing broodmother. But if they show izabela, leliana, and sexy elf warden having sex then everyone would get horny.

Which is why there could be optional nudity.

Because she's not naked. She's a tease. She has an amazing body, people want to see it, but they never get the chance. It's a little mystery, a little spice.

If she was naked many people would like it, but many others would think that's taking it too far.

I personally vow to buy 10 000 copies of DAI if the sex scenes are indeed depicted as they are in The Witcher 2 (with one minor detail changed). The males would slowly strip, swim naked towards the camera, engage in some nude m/m spanking and so on. The females would of course wear pants and a shirt (not underwear, actual clothes) at all times, even during sex.

It would be great seeing all the threads on the forum celebrating how mature and tasteful the nudity was. Oh, and let's not forget about realism..!

(great game though, I'm with bob on this)

I'm always the first one to complain when characters are oversexualized. Specially with certain armors, it's enough to make me loose all interest in any game, book or anything. But Isabella is an exception, she isn't oversexualized, she is just sexualized, in the same way as Zevran is, it makes sense for her character and that is fine.

Another matter is her being overused by the marketing.

Varric doesn't have his chest covered either. It's not armor, they can dress however fits their character. :)

edit: Ilike to think that Zev, after a bath in the camp, prances around naked just to annoy Alistair. It fits him.
(and I'm not into guys)

Are you sexist? Some women want to wear panties outside. Nothing wrong with that. This is 21st century. Not 1865 ghettos of Britain.

The thing is, the graphics capability isn't there yet for modelling human beings to look convincing naked. The uncanny valley would come into effect. Many of the love scenes in ME and DA look poorly animated and silly in any case. Can you imagine how much worse it would be if we had frontal nudity of someone like Ashley Williams(who is generously endowed), with the inherent issues of torso support(or lack thereof) and proper modelling of fleshy bits(cough)? At some point you have to step back and say "Enough. It's completely unnecessary and doesn't contribute to the story. Cut it."

I am not sexist at all... I liked the Isabella attitude in da2... But i disliked the manner of dressing they potrayed her... You see i hard to believe on a woman that fight darkspawn apostates... and even dragons... dressed with.... A corset.... a perizoma...and a pair of longboot... Is not only ridicolus to look but was also stupid and unnecessary...

I mean there are people that complain and say nudity and sex scenes are not necessary... When they are if you are making a scene like a shower or a sex scene or the scene will look ridicolus..But noone complained about the Isabela dressing... that is not only haem..Ridicolus but is also useless and unrequired expecially in a setting where she constantly fight...

If isabela was an hooker that wokerd at the brothel.. i had no to complain about her.. But she is an advenurer.. so she have to be dressed to protect herself...

Then don't do it like that. The uncanny valley is an issue with every bit of gameplay, not something specific to nudity.

You must be new here, there was a lot of complaints when her outfit was first seen.

How then would you propose depicting nudity in the game? To be clear, I define nudity as 'on screen nudity,' as in naughty bits being displayed on screen. Tasteful Hollywood camera shots that just manage to avoid naughty bits are fine.

I don't know I'm not a cinematics developer. But for example, if you can't make bouncy bits acctually bouce, I suppose you can show them only when the character is standing still, or if you want the character to move a lot giver smaller ****** (blasphemy, I know).

I don't really know if it's so hard, Saints Row 3 had even bouncy manparts (its getting complicated to not say anything the bsn would censor in this thread).

In any case, shouldn't Isabella's bounce like most of the time even with clothes?

Jesus, I'm facepalming so hard right now. How can someone miss the point sooo freaking much.

You do realize that beside the opening shot with Geralt and Triss in the bed [no sex, just brief nudity] there is not a single forced sex scene in the game.

None. You don't want to see sex, you won't.

I did not miss the point. I simply chose not to adress it as something else in his statement caught my interest. I wasn't talking about The Witcher. At all. I don't care for the game or the sex scenes. I never played it and as such don't want to comment on the tastefulness or whatever of said scenes.

What I was commenting on was the fact that some people here react in an antagonistic way towards people who don't care for explicit sex scenes or nudity in video games, all the while claiming that people are overtly antagonistic towards those who do. (And the comment wasn't even targeted specifically at the poster I quoted, just a general statement.)

So please, if you have a problem with anything I say and want to discuss it, be my guest. But don't think getting aggressive will help you in any way.

Is this a bad time to mention I use a mod that gives Isabela a real pirate look, complete with leather pants, rather than her current "pirate-themed hooker" outift?  ;)

Okay, this topic has come up many many times, so am just going to say the usual. If done well, yes, if done just for the sake of having it, then no.

Sure why not. We're all adults here. The game will be rated 'M' for a reason.

The Witcher series does it quite tastefully, it doesn't need to be pandering. Just make it worthwhile.

I thought the scenes in DA2 were sufficient. Nudity really isn't necessary to depict a romance scene, the implication is enough. However, if they do intend to use scenes in which nudity would be appropriate (or rather articles of clothing would just seem ridiculous ie: ME3's shower with Traynor or... really any of the romance scene from Origins) then, by all means, they should wear that Mature rating proudly and throw in some nudity.
