tbh IF they decide to add it I agree with the rest Liara romance in ME3 and the romances in ME1 done right. (ME1 got the concept down and ME3 hit it perfectly)

I don't think we should of full blown nudity, as it brings the rating up to an A. But if we have the "Nudity" from like the romances of ME3, I think that'd be great as it was what I'd expect, it gives you the hint, and the allure of it, without being completely inappropriate for those who are younger because we all know that even if it's rated M, kids will inevitably play it.

Liking the idea of clever camera angles to give the impression of nudity - say an appropriately placed item blocking view. As long as there are no long johns or granny pants I'm ok with it. For crying out loud, the look of hindquarters hanging over the top of jeans and trash stamps is one that is acceptable in front of young children.

I do not care for nudity or underwear. To me, the underwear is there for censoring and is not a part of the scene.

I don't see how blood spurting, blood pools, decapitations, gore, stabbing, (optional) murders, (optional) crime, and the like are fully acceptable whilst female sideboobage warrants a soccer mom boycott, and a female nipple warrants lawsuits up the arse.

Nudity isn't required, but sure, have it. Not like it really hurts anyone.

There's really no reason to treat an M rated game differently than an R rated movie. Pretty much every other rated R movie has either full nudity or a full sex scene. People are always looking for scapegoats for societies problems and video games are the current scapegoat.

School shooting = Society blames violent video games
Children looking at porn = Video game boobs corrupted those children

Neither of these make any sense, but idiots believe anything the media dresses up pretty

Developers need to start pushing the line to send the message "We're here, we're not doing anything other forms of media aren't, and we aren't going away".

There should be full nudity with genital close-ups and mini-twitch-sex games to reach orgasms like GTA ''hot coffee mod''.

If it's a mature rated game then there's no reason to not dedicate. Game of Thrones is proving that sex and nudity in fantasy genres is in high demand, so why not take the hint, get it together and realize that if you're going to have romances(which there will be) and you're going to have a sex scene(which is more than likely) then just go the whole way and realize the world will keep on spinning if two fictional characters are naked.

The leaving on of the underwear in Origins really bothered me because it said, to me at least, that they were going for nudity, at least partial, but then punked out, got scared, and added a underwear because people totally leave all of their undergarments on during sex. Nudity is a great thing, I happen to love it, and if this is a mature title then it should be included.

Also, I'm not sure if you're aware but everyone is naked under their clothes. Pixel nudity won't come as a world ending shock I'm sure. ^_^

Again I'm going to plead my case for fade to black. It's SO much more tasteful, also Dragon Age:Origins in rated Mature for several different things for example the City Elf origins, language, the mention of rape...more than once, then think of all the violence. Heck if you wanted to you could murder knife TWO people at Ostagar for NO reason. I like fade to black, I have an imagination, I can work out the mechanics of what goes where in this kind of situation I don't need the game to show it.

It adds nothing to a story , hell it doesn't in a movie so got me why it's even a discussion.

No fades to black.
I like my suggestions about creative camera angles.
Couple that with more back shots and it would be fine.

It means that characters no longer need to wear underwear while having sex. True, nudity isn't vital, but it's realistic and much less awkward.

It doesn't detract from the story either.

If handled properly, nudity can help enhance the mood and authenticity of any number of scenes.

However BioWare wants to do it, as long as the underwear is gone, I'm fine with it.

Welcome to the world where violence is ok but nudity is not. I'll sum it up screw the media and the soccer mom's dragon age has been M rated from the get go embrace the rating and stop holding back.

Both TW2 and Dante's Inferno depict full frontal (female) nudity, genitals and all, and there both rated M.

Funny, considering that if both of those games can keep an M rating while showing full frontal (even depicting sex, in the case of the Witcher), why was GTA: San Andreas repackaged with an AO rating when the hot coffee mod was discovered? That is much more humble than anything in the Witcher.

Two words:

Hilary Clinton

Once she caught wind of the hot coffee scene, she launched a campaign against it.
(why? I honestly haven't got a clue)

That happened years ago though.  Things are different now.

The Hot Coffee thing was before TW2 and Dante's Inferno and that was when the whole crusade against nudity in video games was in full swing being led by Jack Thompson.  Once he got disbarred later on down the road, the whole video game crusade died down.

As for Hillary Clinton, I get the feeling she just looked at the surface of the topic of the Hot Coffee situation and made a decision to support the anti-nudity video game side of the debate without researching it.  Politicians tend to have a habit of doing that sort of thing and can be misled if they don't get all the details.  You rarely see a good politician that actually tries to ensure they have all the details.

Nowadays, no one will care as long as the games are properly rated for their content.  As long as Bioware has their game properly rated, then there is nothing anyone can do about it and no one will really care.

Leave that to the modders. There are sure to be many body-types and pubic hairstyles. Even expanded, more graphic sex scenes that will pretty much end up looking like the sex scenes in "Team America."

Just don't make an awkward in-between sort of thing. Either half naked, then fading to grey, or show them naked. No dry humping, please!

I think Bioware's writers were all involved with those Team America scenes, because it's exactly how they've made the scenes of all their latest games look.

I doubt it will be easy to mod this game without a toolkit.
Most of the DA mods invove armor or appearance.
There are a few that go beyond that, like the Zevran wedding, the funeral mod, and the hilarious camp conversations mods.
By comparison the Bethesda game mods are way more numerous including alleged pornographic mods and no I've never seen them.
The DA romance mods I've seen involve putting Anora's face on anoyher character's body for a romance scene.
Stuff like that. Tame stuff.
Regardless, I hope the romance scenes are tastefully done and enhance our role playing experience.

I think they need to pick an option, either fade to black, or actual nudity, not a PG-13 dry-humping scene. I'm not saying it should be a full on porno scene, but tastefully done when it could add to the story, or help develop relationships. There's no reason why nudity and sex should be seen as being any worse than decapitation and dismemberment, an M rating means 18+, no reason to shy away from adult content in a game made for adults. Maybe give an option to toggle the nudity in the option, where they'd be in their underwear or whatever for the scene.

No, simply because it's not necessary and wouldn't add anything but controversy with all the conservative groups.

I'm sure it's already been discussed considering how many pages are in this thread, but I would really hope that if nudity were somehow needed because of a story or plot point, Bioware wouldn't shy away from it just because of pressure from unimportant fringe groups. I'm sure they are somewhat, but at this point I think Bioware has enough power and support within the gaming community to essentially give those people the finger and do what they want creatively.
