I'm not afraid of boobs (I've got a set) I just don't need nudity for the sake of nudity. I didn't mind ME1 love scene and prefered DA2's to DA:O and I'd rather not have the Witcher's attitude toward relationships applied to DA games.

If it serves the story and is done tastefully, I have no problem with nudity. Throwing it in there for the sake of throwing it in there? Ack! That said, I don't need it or want it to enjoy the game. Do I think it could add gravitas to a scene when done well? Absolutely. But I also respect and admire Bioware's decision not to turn DA into porn, torture porn or tawdry shock porn and I think the story still plays out well without it. In DA2, when Hawke gets busy with Anders, there's no nudity - or even small clothes - because it just fades to black and I thought it was still a good scene. It's less awkward (to me anyway) than the post-coital scene with Fenris or Merrill. So I guess I'm really kind of ambivalent about it. I don't hope for it nor am I opposed to it. I'd only mind if it was obviously tacked on for gratuitous reasons. Since the devs seem intent on not catering to the fans' every request and will do what they feel suits the story, I'm not really worried about it one way or the other.

Having nudity in the game wouldn't bother me one bit. As a matter of fact I'm all for it as long as they show male nudity as well as female nudity. I hate double standards. If Bioware is still squeemish about it though, I'd rather they fade to black rather that have underwear sex in the game. It's just ridiculous. However, I would prefer that they use creative camera angles when portraying nudity if they can't show it all.

Da:o's was sort of silly. I don't know why, I think so but I do.

I don't get why people say that they have sex with clothes over in da2, since they very obvious cut away before they get into the non-clothed part.

I personally also vote for something da2 or Me1/3 like. Those were in my mind the best.

This is the point I always try to make.

I think "implied" nudity can serve well, as a realistic depiction fo two lovers who "went at it" but there is hardly any need for explicit content to create that.

And please use sheets. I hate static beds. And it works better than "lying on top of bed in smallclothes"

It can't be that hard to acheive a beleivable image without direct porn.

Hated DA2 romances .
Very inadequate to say the least .
Didn't think the Leliana sex scene was awkward .
However, it didn't make any sense your warden tossing and turning with full armor on and Leliana watching.
I would have written that differently.
I'm sure the writing team is very well aware of how tastefully done the ME Liara romance is.
But I don't expect them to copy it.
The DA team is going to do their own thing, even if we fans find the finished romances awkward and uneven.
I feel Gaider is tired of romances and can't wait to do away with them.
Someone posted that DAI will have fewer romances than the previous games, which imo contradicts what Bioware has said in the past.
If true, it goes along with Gaider wanting to deemphasize the romances .

In my opinion, it's not supposed to be about the nudity or the sex. If that's all you're after, go watch a porno. To me, the scene is meant to be about the romance and the relationship. If it makes sense to have nudity, I don't mind it. As I read above from aries1001 "nudity can be beautiful if it is done correctly." I agree with that, but when it's nudity just for the sake of nudity, or sex just for the sake of sex, then it's just tacky. And I have trouble taking it seriously after that.

I only think there should be nudity if its done properly and by that I mean not just a naked woman and a half-naked man and if you are gonna do a sex scene don't splash out on one pairing and leave the others lacking which then disappoints the fans. I think the ME series is a good example for this sort of stuff remember how amazing the romance scene with Liara was? I mean there was sweet romantic moments before the nudity then there were artsy camera shots, that weird blue aura thingee, it really seemed like they poured all the love into that one scene what do you get when you romance Thane? a kiss - the end. Even if it's an unconventional pairing I'm sure theres something that could be done, silhouettes in candle light, outlines of figures seen through mesh drapes, get creative with it.

i suppose it makes sense to have nudity sometimes it isnt really needed but they do call them sex scenes even though they're not... its more sensually rubbing eachother...

what does nudity have to do with porn? - are we that brainwashed by society (note: young children are not ashamed of being naked - and in public! - it's society that programms that into them (us!)...sorry, but i can't see anything bad in nudity (and if you argue with religious aspects or somesuch: the bible states that humans only found fault with their nakedness after they ate the fruit from the forbidden tree...meaning: even god - the catholic one -  (if he exists) does not have much of a problem with nudity!)) that we see our own bodies as "evil" that needs to be hidden/covered?

Wasn't the Desire Demon pretty much 99% nude? Nobody seems to have a problem with that. I personally don't have a problem with "brief" nudity in games, if the situation calls for it. I also thought that the ME series did a pretty good job of handling romance scenes, so either way is OK for me.

As soon as a nude individual shows up - one of your party members (a doctor by trade) starts discussing the clinical reality of both the nudity, sexual practices and possible disease and malformations of genitalia.

He got pretty angry yesterday, closed a thread where players had been arguing about romances, and threatened bans.
Maybe it's time for the mods to ban all nudity/sex/romance discussions in the BSN until after DAI is released.
