Right?  I think it's kinda funny that MOST games that feature nudity, have it in some grotesque/unappealing way such as the Broodmother, Banshees in ME3, etc.  It always baffles me that as long as it isn't 'sexy' then it's fine, but amping up the sexiness on a clothed character is perfectly acceptable.

Completely agree with this. (Bolded area) That's the way I always see the romance scenes. 

Another good example of a similar situation where alot of people thought the characters were having sex with clothes on were the ME2 romance scenes, particularly with the Miranda and Jacob scenes. Which IMO were done right. It's mostly what you see in hollywood movies these days.(With the foreplay stripping than fades to back or whatever)

If there's no nudity, you can bet the modders will add it in. So, who really cares? I know a lot of pre-teens are antsy to see bewbs rendered on the Frostbite engine, but most of us really don't care that much.

I brought this up a few pages ago(and I'm sure it's been brought up several times over the course of this thread); I think there's something wrong with the way our society views the human body when showing nudity to disgust and horrify is alright, but showing in a positive manner is somehow taboo. I don't know what the source of this is, whether it's the developers or the publishers or the ratings boards or what, but I think the mindset reflects poorly on us as a whole.

Having said that, I can take nudity or leave it. I don't think it would hurt the game at all. I think Bioware's fully capable of doing some tasteful nude scenes.I'm certainly not looking for porn; if I want porn, I've got the whole of the internet at my fingertips. 

The only thing I've been arguing against is the DAO magic underwear.

Banning further discussions of romances/sex/nudity would be a good thing.
There's some kind of war in the BSN between those who want it, it being, I'll call it adult content and those that hate it and want it out of DAI and future DA games.
Gotten to be a rather vicious war.
To keep peace on the board, heaven forbid that Gaider had to intervene again.
I think Schumacher got embarrassed Gaider intervened, but be that as it may banning such discussions for now makes sense to try to maintain some level of peace on the boards.

It would be sad if fig leaves are covering the offensive bits to avoid negative reaction. It would be better to avoid going there entirely. As far as the broodmothers go, they're monsters. If it's grotesque, it's art, kind of like adding a bunch of grapes and an urn.

It's funny how DA:O was touted as dark fantasy but had pg-13 love scenes.

I believe the devs would like to put meaningful nudity in the game but it is ultimately up to EA. My bet is there will be appropriate nudity.

If you are on PC:

Natural Bodies + Better Sex Cutscenes mod from Nexus and you get the full program of actions. Especially Morrigan likes it dirty.

if its done in a realistic manner and not for the sake of just having nudity. I think showing nudity can enhance a romance scene in any art as it connects the audience to it in a human way. they same way one might enjoy a romance scene in a movie with nudity. if done right and tasteful it adds to the moment where we have ll see how over use of it in movies and hurt the plot and the over all feel of the movie. same can happen in a game. take red dead redemption. its a game with plenty of nudity but its done in a way that adds to the emotion of the story. for example the scene where you go to the ranch and you find the women there have been raped by the gang of the guy in the fort. it helped to drive the impact of the moment and give the player a sense of how brutal this world was. and another example was later in the spanish mission where you walk in on the revaluation leader banging s groupy. it added to the humor and yet did not take away from the game it made it that much more funny wail not being cheap. for Dragon age it has always been a hard area. after the upset with mass effects romance scene they clearly altered their approach and even took it farther back in DA2. what could have been impactfull and emotional moments where cut down out of concern for bad press for having even partial nudity in a video game even tho it always has been optional. I think that Bio ware should take this risk. DAI can be a fresh start with bringing the game to the planed depths they had started with on origins. they have the chance to go to the rich deep emotion levels that Biowere is known for and not use it as a cheap gimmick and take DAI in the mature and adult fantasy it was meant to be (( I mean mature and adult in level of emotional maturity and not in a sexual manner))

Yeah, it really is. I don't see why anyone cares about the 7.45 seconds of boob that they'll get from this, if it ever happens; which it won't.

how many times does a dev have to come in here and explain that they, by their own power and not due to any outside influence or pressure, are not interested in creating more than a brief implication of nudity or sex before people accept that they're not interested in creating (and therefore won't be persuaded to create) more than a brief implication of nudity or sex
