I don't understand how people are perfectly fine with bulging, blubbery broodmother breasts and Desire demons running their hands all over themelves, amd then squeal when they see someone's naked back.

If the nudity is done properly and tastefully, then I see no reason why it shouldn't be included in a game where you beat the living daylights out of a creature that i s basically a head on five sets of boobs. <_<

Not the point. Nudity is a very optional and unneeded thing compared to the vast amount of other romance content that they should focus on. I don't see anyone in this thread saying that they hate nudity. We're all adults, more or less; we aren't small children. Assuming that we dislike nudity, or even that we are afraid of it, is wrong. I've seen nothing here to say otherwise.

Hypothetically, I say that becasue it's never going to happen, when you get this nudity, what changed? At all? Besides the fact that there is now nudity? Is the scene somehow more realistic? Were those few seconds of hypothetical realism fulfilling?

You could also ask, if it's fulfilling to behead somebody or to see massive splatter of blood, and yet it's in the game.

I'm pretty sure they toned down on that too.

Well, I am going to play this game nude, just like I played the previous ones, no matter what you think about it!

What?

It's in this very thread, from two weeks ago. Click on the "Bioware" logo under the thread name and it'll show you all developer posts. Voila! It addresses this very topic, and has nothing to do with "romance haters".

Just so you know: there are many times that I disagree with you, but I very much appreciate you coming down, speaking with us, and not sounding like a corporate robot in doing so. It's psychologically refreshing.

It would be less of an issue if we thought DAI might be moddable.

I don't see how the lack of a circumstantial bonus for the end user could sway them to make content they're not interested in making.

I think the point here is more on the lines of "people will make nude mods, because that's how people are, thus making the need of *official* nudity a non-issue".

There should be the option for those who want it to have it and for those who don't, to not.

There is. It's called not buying it.

I'm surprised The Gaider is still reading this thread. He must find it amusing. Perhaps this is the Bioware team's literature during lunch-breaks.

That's presuming that they're not too busy being embarassed and ashamed over what they've allowed to flourish.

Honestly I could care less either way when it comes to the nudity thing, there are things more important to me than if there are pixels resembling breasts.

You can't just not constantly insult them can you?  And that's when you're not busy insulting the fans that play their games.

It's our resident flame baiter and sycophant, Kotor, I missed you, why don't we talk anymore?

I missed being part of your tinfoil hat conspiracy theory that we hated you and anythiing Bioware did by criticising them. Oh woah is me, for I am a luddite.

Can we have hate sex?

PS: It's on topic, it's in the nudity thread.

The pixels resembling swords are much more important, I agree.

It's because he's focusing on Miranda's ass.

Anytime I see someone claim that nudity is silly because it's 'pixels,' their argument automatically loses about 20 points with me.

I could say the same about nudity in real life. It's only rays of light passed through the eyes and interpreted by the brain.

The difference is one is real and the other is pixels.

I find it's appropriate for said scene, then sure. Not all circumstances would be fitting to "x" relationship and not all scenes need to have nudity. Let's take for example, Jack's paragon romance from ME2. That scene would just be so off-putting if it lead into sex, let alone nudity because that would be Shepard taking advantage of her and that's not how I viewed their relationship, let alone that specific scene tied to both their NEEDS in that current (important word) moment.

If a scene is staying true to "x" relationship and it leads to something dramatic and passionate, then by all means, go for it - like Ashley not seeing Shepard for two years and she finally gets to have him alone or Kaidan.

It really depends on the what and why that scene is happening - not just a sake for a "romance scene". Personally though, I prefer fade to black over nudity, but I am not against it, nor do I find it equals maturity, like a lot of the arguments I've seen thrown around in the past few years relating to games like The Witcher 2.

Nudity tends to be more male friendly anyway, so it would be probably still lead to the whole equality argument and "WHY CAN'T I SEE MY WARDEN'S D?" amirite?
