Dragon Age III Romances

That's nasty. You nasty, Crusty.
All this aside, I'd like to see the romances play a role in the overall plot. Being romanced with Issbella definitely colored how I handled the Qunari, as did my relationship with Allistair at the Landsmeet.
But just like the hardening options, I'd like to see these taken even further and to be applied to all romances. Maybe not have every romance tie into the plot as dramatically as, say, an Anders romance for DA2's ending, but to tie in more than Merril's romance, which is basically a complete anscillary story to the main plot.

Honestly, as long as the companion hasn't been romanceable in a past game, I don't care. If you want to romance them, than do it in the game the option first appears in. This way, if we get another import bug like with Zervan's romance, we wouldn't be forced to watch them bed with another npc.

I think the PC's hand should be a romance option. That and a darkspawn, a coat rack, and Sandal.
Andraste's flaming arse! Coffee, coffee everywhere from reading that.

With that aside - I agree with Fast Jimmy, it would be nice to see companions integral to plot, even if they're relatively minor sub-plots. I don't expect everyone to be an Alistair and soak up the main over arcing story line, but it would be nice to see some fortuitous turn of events leading us to a scenario or sub-plot that is somehow deeply personal to one or more of our Companions.
I also support this suggestion.I think the PC's hand should be a romance option.

Wasn't Anders heavily related to one of the main plots of DA2?

Alistair's role in the story could change his entire life and shape the entire future of a country, Ander's involvement was as relevant as Hawk's surviving sibling, Mage Hawke, Merril and, in regards to the city, Aveline as well. Anders just got more done.

I chose to use Alistair as an example of plot integrity instead of Anders as, in my opinion, Alistair's end-game opportunities had far greater reaching consequences and he was defined as an "end-game character" for a large majority of the game, unlike Anders.Wasn't Anders heavily related to one of the main plots of DA2?
My request still stands, however - I do not expect all characters to be an Alistair, it's obvious that certain companions will not be as integral to the main plot as others, but it would be nice to see certain sub-plots and side quests contain specific dialogue to offer us deeper insights into the history and beliefs of our other companions.
Obsidian Entertainment managed to make Mask of the Betrayer companions integral to sub-plots, without making them essential, and as a result we got to learn a great deal more about them. I'm certain Bioware are more than capable of doing the same and it would be nice to see the "lesser" companions receive some sort of integrity, no?

Seems kind of shunning of the ones excluded when they don't.

I just need Cullen to be romanceable then I would pre-order the game the first day.
I wonder if Cullen is still a virgin.

An interesting challenge for the writers would be a blind, mage. Maybe an apostate who relies heavily on the help of
spirits to travel and fight, and it's up to the player character to help
pull them out of their fervent dependance on spirits to guide them in
everything they do.
Yay or nay..?
