Nice reasoning there. Thanks for the insightful post dude.Battlebloodmage wrote...
Many people are very territorial by nature, and time tends to make people forget many things. That's why history will often repeat itself. When you have so many groups of races living together, they will start to compare themselves against one another, whether subconsiously or not. The dwarves prefer to live in isolation, so they don't have a lot of chance to interact with outsiders. Their viewpoint will mostly depend on their perception of what outsiders are like, which isn't very favorable. Of all the races, I feel like dwarves will have the hardest time to get along with the other races. Even between the Dalish elves and city elves. the city elves look at the Dalish elves as savages, which also happens because they don't often interact with one another much. I find it interesting that while, as a group of people, the city elves are being oppressed, they would look down on another group as inferior. It's like despite being oppressed, some city elves actually look at the
humans as being superior and worship them instead of their own kinds.. The Danish elves themselves see the city elves as snobs, so it's not like they're any better. The darkspawns are only united them temporary. Once the threat is gone, they will start to turn on each other.
Man the Warden must be pissed in DA III

Well they should at least let us know what happened to the warden!
I'm pretty sure it's left ambiguous so that you, the player, can fix whatever ending you like to your Warden's story.
Mine's milking the 'Hero' thing for all the groupies it's worth, out of spite - they're still mad about the "I know we agreed to travel the world, but I noticed you have dandruff so I'm off to join the Seekers" note Leilana left when she did a runner.

I hope there are some references at least. My Wardens varied from wanting to keep helping around Ferelden to those who'd want to track down Anders and then beat him senseless for his stupidity.
Not counting the whole.... when the heck did Warden/Hawke meet and how can the Warden disappear if he/she is the king or queen?
My favorite FDC Warden spent her days traveling with Zevran and training new Wardens like Bethany.... so no disappearing for her...
I think it's implied the Warden is still Warden-Commander first, Queen/King second. That's how my Warden saw it as anyway. Her duties as a Grey Warden came before her duties as a Queen to Fereldan.
Pretty easy to go missing when you go adventuring all the time...

They need to have the warden in this game in some shape or form. You can't just assume he disappeared and leave it at that.
Here's the problem: more than 5/6 of the fanbase would probably be upset. Why? Exactly for what you posted and because Bioware's Warden wouldn't be their Warden. I can hear the griping now, "My Warden wasn't a Warrior!.... My Warden was a Female Elf!.... No, you're all wrong, the Warden was a Dwarf Rogue." It'd be hard to import their own personal Warden's all the way from DA:O, but I'd give Bioware a great deal of respect for doing so. I want to see the Warden and Hawke, but I understand how difficult this may be for Bioware to deliver.

exactly. If the Warden is alive then they need to be in DA3 after all that they have accomplishedAdmiralDavidAnderson wrote...

Well, Alistair and the Warden can't live very long, so we know that they will die a painful death eventually.
Erm, no we don't. What we know happens is that they start to turn into a ghoul. Generally wardens who reach that stage go and suicide in the Deep Roads--or attempt to. We don't know if even the majority of them actually die. And both Corypheus and the Architect (yes, probably even if you KILLED him) are running around somewhere doing who-knows-what with the darkspawn.
So, it's entirely within the realm of possibility that should Alistair/the Warden hear the Calling and descend into the Deep Roads, they won't get killed. They may wind up working for Corypheus or the Architect. Or something even weirder might happen.

Surely, having a tortured body of a ghoul is much better than death. Seeing as how mentally damaged and groteque a lot of the ghouls are. I would rather for the Warden and Alistair to die while fighting the darkspawns.PsychoBlonde wrote...

My main warden does not give a damn about non- darkspawn conflicts. Ferelden, Orlais, Tevinter and everyone else can beat the crap out of each other for all he cares. If he would return he would keep the Wardens he controls out of the fighting.

My Orlesian Warden would have been seriously irked at Anders - for deserting and the blowback Anders no doubt brought upon the Wardens - had she been stupid enough to recruit him.

My first play through I had Hawke help Merril and I swear I didn't see that coming. My second play through, I told Merril no way was I helping her. Geez, Hawke was such a pawn.
