1. Ability to travel to other areas of thedas, even if only briefly. Why cant i travel to par vollen for a qunari companions personal quest etc.

2. Some kind of upgradeable base. There was a mod for dragon age origins called quests and legends. In the mod you took over the theives guild, you could upgrade buildings and the people that ran the buildings. Control the focus of the guild etc. If you are the leader of the Inquisition, surely you would have some kind of headquarters which is more than a party camp.

3. Destructible enviroments. rockfist smashing a wall to rubble, fireballs leaving craters. etc

4. Personalised skill trees for companions. Although mages should be personalized on passive abilities but not on what spells they use, that should be up to us.

5. Some kind of origins style set up. Pick a race/class/background and converge on a set spot in the main plot. This time lets have more choices. I want to be a runaway qunari mage.

6. Returning companions and npcs as companions such as morrigan, sten (da2 qunari style) , leilana, varric and maybe sigrun or isabella. 5 old companions and 5 new, two of the new being sandal and cullen.

7. puzzles and mini-games. Harder puzzles, these could be during quests or just randomly found through exploration and solving the puzzle rewards you with loot or combat and loot ;). Id like to see some mini-games aswell, maybe poker at an inn.

8. Random events/quests and day/ night cycles. I want to be walking past a merchant and a theif suddenly starts running, i give chase and corner the theif who has some backup waiting. After a quick fight and a small cutscene, i can either kill the theif, let him go but returning the goods or hand him to the authoritys. Small little events like this help the world feel more alive (like mentioned in number 7, day and night would bring different random events). This is an example of a random event in a town, aswell as that i would like random events when travelling the world map similar to origins. enemies/quests/random quests or events that only happening during either day or night would help the world feel more alive.

9. Particle Effects and Weather system and changing enviromental weathers. When a mage summons a fireball, the lighting and shadows should change due to the lighting given off by the flameball. Summoning a bolt of lightning at night and the strobe effect style lighting should light up the dark alleys. Give us different climate regions and weather effects. If its snowing in
the mountains, i want to see snow on my character during any cutscenes.
Give us mage abilitys that co-incide with the weather. If its snowing i
can cast blizzard without enemies knowing it was me that cast it, a
stealth mage attack. If its raining, any lightning spells should hit the
rain and do damage to all enemies.

10. Crafting System. this adds to the upgradeable player base. If i purchase a blacksmith upgrade to the player base, i should be able to collect certain materials that the blacksmith can create weapons/armors with. Different base metals from ores, different reagents that decide what attributes be attached to the created piece.

Lol really you had to revive yet another one year old thread with no posts, you did the same yesterday for some strange reason, anyway.

1. We'll be going to some different parts of Thedas, unlikely we'll be going to par vollen, there isn't a fast travel system but a region travel one.

2. Yes our main base will be customizable to a high degree, the secondary ones not so much, the only have 3 looks which we get by assigning them a function.

3. The environments will have some destructability but doubt some of the stuff will happen.

4. Not sure about this one, there will be skill trees but I doubt they'll be personal ones and should be up to us or do you mean abilities which unknown, we will have skills like in DAO.

5. This ones a no, there's no different origin stories like in DAO and every character will go throw the same non playable sequence but they'll have different reasons for being there based on our background which we get by our race and class choice.

6. They'll be a lot of returning characters as npc's, doubtful that we'll get anymore returning companions

7. Don't know

8. Unlikely, the day night seems to be like DA2 but don't think the quests will be the same whereas we had to do them in either day or night which was kinda annoying.

9. Unlikely, but there will be a dynamic weather system, rain, snow, sandstorms.

10. Yes and we have full customization of all companions and the inquisitor also they each have a folder that takes up a server themselves so 10 servers for just this which was stated by the devs in the crafting and customization one where this is all from. The iconic thing isn't what some people claim, all the iconic look is that something that identifies them as them and their style will be present in anything we put them in.

We can can change individual pieces of the armours change the helm, the gauntlets, leggings, chest, , helm, collars, change it's colors, and pre visualize it on everyone before you decide to craft/ modify and equip it on them.

The weapons we can change the blade, the hilt, the grip, the core the materials and colors, we can have a series of swords that look the same but have different properties or have tons of weapons that look different and have different functions.

Going back to base to do all of that, getting runes added to them and getting people to craft them, we'll have alchemists to do all of our potions and such.

1. (Ability to travel anywhere on Thedas) My problem with this is the whole ticking clock. I imagine we have to close the fade tears in a certain period for time or "The world will suffer!" So a, what, two month trip to Par Vollen for a companion quest seems a little waste of timey.

2. (Upgradeable base) Seems like we're getting this.

3. (Destructible environments) Looked like we were getting this to some extent too.

4. (Personalised skill trees for companion.) We had these in DA2, right? So I imagine we'll have something similar again. Or did I misunderstand you?

5. (Picking a race/class/background) I think it's been said we are not picking our backgrounds. It sounded like the race and class we pick are deciding what background we have. I may be wrong though.

6. (Returning companions) I disagree with this one. I want mostly new companions. Varric's returning, which I love, and Cassandra is becoming a companion, but I kind of don't want to know most of the rest. And I want Sandal to be his lovable enchantment self at my base. As a companion The Maker... Oh I mean Sandal would be too overpowered.

7. (Puzzles and Mini-Games) I'm all good with this!

8. (Random events/quests and day/ night cycles) DO NOT WANT! This is one of the things DA2 got right. I hate in games when you have to get something done at night, but you get side-tracked by a cool looking dungeon and then have to wait for the next night because you get there after sun-up. It cuts down on freedom of exploration IMO. Please let us decide if it is night or day, and then stay that way. Thank you.

9. (Weather systems) It looked like in the PAX demo we are getting a lot of what you mentioned here.

10. (Crafting System) This has been mentioned as something we are getting.

Fun list, and it looks like you are getting a lot of what you wanted.
