I don't have a problem with Day 1 DLC because I always get the edition of the game that comes with it.
Well, actually, I have one tiny problem with it - that I have to download it before I can play the game. It sucks to rush home to play a brand new game, only to wait around for half an hour while all the day 1 dlc downloads.
Please, no exclusive pre-order or CE bonuses/day 1 DLC

I'm fine with Day 1 dlc or CE dlc as long as I can acquire them later. Admittedly if the dlc is a sword instead of a quest or my mabari I don't care as much. However any story-based content (story-enhancing?) content should always be available at some point: Soldier's Peak, Black Emporium, The Exiled Prince.
I wouldn't mind retail-based exclusive content that eventually becomes available as a free download. Let's face it, GameStop is not pushing DAO or DA2 like they were for the first 6-12 months. When their promotional bit is up, I see no reason to keep excluding the item from other players. At least for the Staff of Parthalon I only had to sign up for a newsletter. I might be willing to sign up for a bunch of newletters, but I don't want to have to make a bunch of purchases.
