I love Isabela, but after Zevran's bugged cameo in DA2 (and the fact that it was never fixed), I would rather not see her at all than import my Isabela romance Hawke, and see Isabela act like their relationship doesn't exist. Or worse, have a Carth/Bastila situation where my Hawke disappeared into a shadowy void and now Isabela (or any other LI) is sad. I'd rather keep my illusion of a happy ending.

I suspect we will see her, however, and all I can ask is just think about the romanced Hawkes out there. I was really annoyed by the Zevran romance import bug, to the point that I didn't want to see him at all on subsequent characters, after he didn't seem to remember that he was in a romance with my imported Surana.

A good question of Isabela as a companion to the new protagonist, will you have to go through loads of wasted dialogue acting like you don't know her background story? Something like this makes me think that no former companions will come back for your team from Origins or DA2.

How about no? Not only would that just be a giant slap in the face of the people who romanced her, but Isabela just wouldn't do it.  In her romance she finally decides to have feelings for someone. Her dumping him/her three years later would just be bad.

But she never actually thinks, "Hey! The person I supposedly have feelings for might not like this! SO I'll ask him/her if it's okay."

I was waiting for that moment. I wasn't about to tell her she couldn't do what she wanted. But when she took the step, it was over.

I believe he meant he liked Isabela not because of her promiscuity in the sense that he appreciates her for more than just sex. The sex is still good it's just not the only reason to like Isabela, isn't that how most of her fans feel?

Well that how I took it, if it's not then yeah he makes no sense.

Oh, I didn't mean yours.  I meant the notion of... conditionally liking her based on compartmentalizing her sexuality.  Which is why I read out of the other person's post.  If they meant something else, then nevermind.
