I think its a pretty good bet that she will at least be in DA3 and probably a party member. So what do we think? Will she be romanceable or will she have some celibacy vow like Samara in ME2 (though such a vow didnt stop Leliana lol).
Do you even want her to be romanceable?
DO you care one way or another?
I don't hope she's romanceable as much as killable.
She really irritated me a lot. The way she treated Varric pissed me off to no end; then her idiocy in Dawn of the Seeker sealed it.

What? Pressing a dagger up against his throat as he sits there and taunts her while the entire world is basically in a state of chaos over an issue he has direct knowledge of? I'd say she went easy on him. Besides it's not like she went all fisticuffs on him. As the story went on she became more and more sympathetic towards him; she could've been way worse towards him.

She way overreacted. I don't care that she could have been rougher with him. I don't support that mentality. It's like excusing someone for being a jerk because they slapped my sister instead of stabbed her. The result is the same; I'm still pissed.
Besides, if she wants answers, she could have tried asking him first before she got all aggro.

Isn't that always on Bioware's priorities?

There is no way, that if Cassandra appears as a party member, she is not going to be romancable. It would be like saying, "Hey! Guess what?! CULLEN is a party member! But you can't romance him cuz he's in a monogamous relationship with the Maker."

I'm just going to leave this here. Perhaps you need to see the opening again.
Regardless of how I feel, I'm sure BW will make her romanceable and unkillable, so rejoice.![]()
Oh I'm sorry, instead of asking, Varric asked her who she was looking for and she clearly states "the Champion." Varric is no fool, he knows she means Hawke yet he decides he's going to toy with her. In her mind her mission is very important and grave; Varric isn't her friend; he's a source of information who is being resistant. If she just sat there and let Varric toy with her she wouldn't have got what she wanted. She doesn't have time to play nice so she's forced to show a bit of aggression in order to get Varric to spill his beans all without harming him; and lowe and behold it worked. If Cassandra played by your rules, she probably wouldn't have gotten what she was after.

(don't give me that but she's straight bull cause she could still be bi even if she hasn't said anything about being in to women yet doesn't mean she isn't)
(PS. sorry about the mini rant and if this was already brought up)

I think we've highjacked this thread enough. We're just going to have to agree to disagree.

It's simple conservation of space. As Bioware is going to include romances, and if there are only going to be, say, 2 females in a party of 6, and those females are of the right age and whatnot, then the logical conclusion is that Cassandra will be a LI.
Of course we don't know how many party members there will be this time around, but given that both DAO and DA2 had at least 4 romance options in the base game, then I think it is a safe bet that there will be at least 4 romance options in DA3.

It is now clear that she is a confirmed companion, and honestly, if she isn't romancable, I'm going to be pissed. It was cute enough that Aveline wound up with her husband that I didn't totally mind that she wasn't romancable, but if they do this again I'm going to be pretty angry.
I love the fact that unconventional values of beauty are represented in the Dragon Age series- but I hate the fact that those characters are not allowed as a romance. The fact that Aveline was unromancable just makes me scratch my head. Why, is she too strong for some tastes? I happen to like strong women. Cassandra is stunning, and I hope she isn't chalked up as unattainable for the same reasons.
And what, still no dwarven romance? Why, because they're...short? *DRAMATIC SWOON* Heaven FORBID!

In general, abnest, feel free to start up a new thread if you can only find really old ones about the topic.
