I have several. The ones I use most are ZaerTheDraconian and Youthanized.

I honestly forget the origins of Zaer, but Youthanized is based off of a Megadeth album - Youthanasia.

--Fallen Angel-- had its genesis in Neverwinter Nights when I wanted an account where nobody from the server I used to play on would know who I was when I logged into a different server. It doesn't really mean anything, but Fallen Angel and -Fallen Angel- were both taken, and I thought it sounded cool. It also led to --Enigmatic Angel--.

Mine is very silly indeed.

I bought a top and a pair of sandals to match that both had brass buckles on them for show. I really like those shiny brass buckles on my clothes for whatever reason--hey, I'm female, I'm allowed to be fashion-conscious, even if the outfit does look sort of like a uniform. Somehow I thought that "brass buckles" sounded like a unique user name. So, I'm using it. It has nothing to do with the military or bondage, just clothing.

Tirigon is a Dark elf in one of my favourite novels. He´s awesome.

Besides, it´s a name that is not used by real people but does still sound like a name and not like a description or a thing. I dont like names that are no real names such as those above me - no offense meant.

I don't use this kind of name for characters, even in MMOs--for that, I'm with you, I want my character's name to sound like a name, even if it's not a real-world name.  Doing otherwise destroys immersion.   To me, "Brass Buckles" sort of sounds like a nickname you'd call someone, and since I liked those brass buckles on my clothes... why not just give myself a nickname?  Isn't that what your user name on these forums is all about?

Sure it is. I said I meant no offense, I just dont like that kind of name for myself. The only reason I chose your name as example is that I terribly suck in making up names, so I couldnt think of an example that is not in use here

Heh, I'm not offended, I'm just explaining my view of things.  I definitely agree with you in the context of a game, but I'm sure people who name their characters silly things in MMOs and such also feel the same way I do about a nickname on a forum (even though for me their name choices break immersion when used in the context of a game).  Emotions don't come across too clearly on a forum, but I was slightly surprised and slightly amused by your post.  Actually I think it's pretty cool that you don't use the typical "random off-the-wall object/creature/whatever" name.  It's insanely difficult to come up with a unique one, whereas, with your username, it'd be pretty hard to find someone else who shares it.  I bet there are about fifty Brass Buckles roaming around somewhere else online and most of them think they are the only one.  And yes, you do have to be pretty random to come up with one that no one else on that forum/chat site/game has.

Heh ok maybe worded badly....the first 2 letters of my first name would be MA....second name VI....etc etc hehe

Very interesting. I have the standard three-name (first, middle, surname) thing over here in the USA. Don't often meet someone with more than that.

It's a pun... sort of. I was listening to Lord Abortion by Cradle of Filth when I started thinking about how much they seem to like puns. Many of their song and album titles are a play on words. Suddenly the name Lord Abrasion popped into my head and I liked it enough that I decided to use it as my handle on the next forum I registered on. About a week later, Funcom unveiled The Secret World and I used the name for the first time on those forums, getting a headache as I tried to make sense of sherpas in Antarctica.

I like your name, and I enjoyed Excalibur. We even got to see it in high school except the teacher fast forwarded past Lancelot and Gwenevere's little romance in the woods (I saw it uncensored on HBO a few months prior. hah!)

Well, let's see here;
Many, many moons ago, I was one of the bad boys of the Internet. I actually belonged to a hacker/pirate group. Everyone had to have a dark, ominous sounding name. We had all read Lord Of The Rings many times, so there was a Strider, a Nazgul, Sauron, etc... I was into RPGs big time even back then and always played warrior/knight characters, so I chose to call myself DarkNyte and so I was know for many years on the old IRC channels. (Way back then you were limited to 8 characters for your online name)

When I gave up my evil ways, I changed it to WhtNyte and I've been called that online for over 10 years now. Of course, this forum wouldn't let me use that for some reason (I haven't seen any other WhtNyte's on here) so I added my domain name to the end of it!

I combined the first 3 letters of 3 fictional character names, and thus my name was born.

The first 2 are embarrassing, but for the last 3 letters I used Trinity from the Matrix.

Mine comes from me being a night owl and is taken from ancient egyptian.

Sa stands for son, Seba for star: Son of the Stars.

Sa Sebaut would be grammatically correct, but the shorter form I used makes it sound better ;-)

Alendor is a memento name. It was my chars name in World of Warcraft when I still played the game on a Private Server. Now I had alot of names, but this one is the name of the character which I was online on when I found the girl of my dreams. Which is right now sitting in the other room ^^

Cuthlan is a name I've been using for a long time for RPGs. Started out as a fake name a pen-and-paper character would give people in a game I was playing back in the day. When Diablo came out, I used it for my character there, reusing it for multiple online games, and it has since become one of the names I'm known by on the internet.

It was initially Cuthlain, a combination of Cuthbert and Alain from the Dark Tower series of books. I dropped the "i" early on, can't remember why.

My real name is M. K. Ata. Hence the acronym. Strange, but even a silly acronym MKATA was already used when I attempted to register it. Hence added KM at the end, ending with a symmetric acronym.

Please do explain. Your question was utterly meaningless until I saw your name :) The word 'few' was not typed with a capital first letter as names should.
