My gaming input would be severely limited if that would be the case.

Fixed.
And no it wouldn't. I only play Humans anyways.

What does FRPG mean?SpunkyMonkey wrote...
Yes. I play FRPGs to experience the world from different viewpoints - only human again and it's a flat out no buy from me.
People may argue that it could still be great, but it won;t be the great experience as an FRPG player I want.

Being forced to play as some other race though and I'd have to wait and see.

They also could make different origins stories ot backgrounds with only one race. That wouldn't be t bad.
Stories of different background? Stories like Shepard's? To tell you the truth I can't really remember the story I chose with my Shepard and it never had any reflection on my playthroughs. It seems like a placebo to me.

Nope. Would prefer having races, but it's no deal-breaker.

Fantasy Role Playing Game
I'm surprised how many people it doesn't matter to on here. Do any of you do multiple play-throughs? Because for me it's far more interesting if I do it as a different race.

Ideally those who prefer to play as humans will be satisfied, and those who prefer to play other races/species will also be satisfied (both in the single-player and multiplayer campaigns) with what we have in DA3. I wouldn't want to limit anyone's enjoyment of their own preferred playstyle, human or not...so far as I'm aware there is nothing hard and fast curbing the story potential for a return of different playable races in the game, so hopefully in Inquisition we can all be served and no one will have to resign themselves to one aspect or another.
Great discussion here

Hell, I'd rather said universes not have dwarves or elves at all. Humans are plenty diverse as it is, and I don't see much gained from the existence of fictional races besides the convenience of confronting social issues without dealing with explicit real-world implications, something I would consider a bonus, not a detriment.
But then I'm not a writer who would have to deal with the resulting blowback from such a thing.

Nah, I'm one of those jerks who upsets the metric apple cart by always playing "boring" humans when given other options anyway.

really humans are diverse.. you dont say.. let see 2 legs 2 hands 1 head, 1 heart and normal things that would make us all the same now add skin color and different speaking.. nope, nothing really diverse with exception to skin and language so no were not really different..
{ i left out religion, and upbring to show that we are not as diverse as you think we are}

Way to gloss over every culture that has ever existed with a wave of your ignorant hand.
