I just bought this game for my girlfriend for christmas after getting past a bug while installing now we have an all new problem. The best way to describe the problem is that all cut scenes are fast forwarding. The video just jumps from frame to frame there is no fluid movement. First noticed when she went to create a character and the video there did it. She can run around the in world just fine but then again on the next cut scene it fast forwarded. I have looked for a similar problem but couldn't find anyone else saying they had a problem like this. She updated to 1.02a as a possible fix but the problem still persists. She is running winXP SP3, AMD Phenom with 2gigs of ram and a 8800 GT.

I am also having this issue. My specs are AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+, GB RAM, with an ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card. Also WinXP SP3. Tried various resolutions, but ideally would like to stay at 1920. I've installed the latest game patch and ATI drivers. I purchased the deluxe digital edition from Steam. My PC runs just about everything else, including Mass Effect and the cutscenes from the Character Creator just fine, so I'm not certain if there's a tweak somewhere in the game's configuration files or whatnot, but I'd also like to know of a possible fix.

I have a similar problem where the scenes sometimes hang for a few seconds, but most of the times it runs smoothly. (1680x1050) I have an Intel q6600 quadcore processor and 4 GB ram, with an ATI 3870. The cpu's you guys are using might be a bit overwhelmed. More ram is also known to smooth out performance.



Try lowering the resolution alot, like the lowest possible. If it runs alot better then you know it's prlby your cpu, if still doesn't play smoothly my entire story here is B.S
